Yeah I didnt get one either, but I put forth little effort. I do however plan to purchase a ticket before the end of october for the november 11th tournament in roughly 2 weeks. The bigger prize pool made me really want to go back and try again, 80 players now is nice but not really a fan of lowering the chip count, seems kinda senseless especially since they did a positive by making field bigger... more luck... oh well..
pokerstars has been good to me lately so been avoid the casinos, also been sick and didnt want to spread illness to anyone. While sick I managed a 3rd in the $22 hot turbo for a cool $2300 tho.

Lolcrushed my way to 1st place in this rama tourney, we had almost same chips when HU so i chopped even $5400. But he thankfully suggested we flip our stacks for remaining $600 in the pool so we did. I got a photo with my winning hand Q5s clubs.(from the flip lol) i got $6000 total like exactly on the dollar. It was one of the best feelings at live poker that ive ever only experienced online. Im just hammered right now ill post some funny hands tommorrow, but ya ive been drinkin stella since 2pm lols, i think the drinking got me more action little do they know im a tank.
Congrats! What time did the tourney finish? Were almost all the tables still running, just like all 12 were at 1 PM?
Woodbine should learn from Rama that running MTTs creates more cash games. I stopped by Woodbine on my (snowy!) way home and it had less cash tables running than Rama all day long.
Wow, that's 2 1/2 hours longer than mine did. With the disappointing reduction from 10K to 7,500 starting chips, the total chips remained the same at 600,000, so I thought it would still end before 9 PM.
They followed my suggestion of inserting an extra level of 100/200 so that the CPR wouldn't more than double at the next level of 100/200+25 ante. Did the short stacks keep surviving at final table to make it last almost as long as a Brantford Deep Stack?
Yes final table took forever, was still some play at the start of it, and they doubled up over and over. also we had a big delay with people making deals and some weird collusion it ended up eating like 45 mins and clock was frozen. Then they got 2 round penalty was finally the ruling.

Please give details, such as what the scumbags looked like and how the tournament director found out they were cheating. Did the cheaters make the final four?
I had thought with the 1/3 increase to 80 players, there would be more :fish:, but at my initial table, it seemed that half the players were tournament rounders who were talking about playing every event of WSOP-C Lac-Leamy, PCA or WPT Montreal. :arghh: There was a player in PartyPoker gear who said that he is sponsored to play at WPT events including Paris, but I'm wondering what he's doing in a $300 Rama tourney.
I was there this past weekend and was sitting beside a table full of dealers who were getting a lesson on the new BBJ scheduled to begin on Dec 2nd. I eavesdropped as best I could for about 20min and seems as though it's a pretty standard 50/25/25 split when AAAJJ beat. From what I was able to hear it'll start at $500 and will be open to all tables (including limit) ...trying to remember what else I heard... I think it'll be a standard $1 from any pot over $20, and the pot also has to reach $20 for the BBJ to be awarded. There were also some other details that may come back to my memory, if they do i'll post.
Yuck! November 25 will be the last time I play a cash game at Rama. After future tournaments, I'll instead play the cash game at Woodbine or Georgian Downs where there is no BBJ rake.
Haha sadly not, ive been grinding for 4 days at fallsview so im exhausted, not many good regs when i was here i guess because of wpt? Booked a $3200 win, was a great run, didnt lose 1 session.
I learnt about the collusion in the last tourney and it was two regs talking about cash compensation during their hand together and one reg agreeing to fold instead of an obvious call with any two cards. A player whom I respect the most and witnessed the shenanigans thinks that the two cheaters should have been disqualified instead of sitting out while in the money and getting a chance to move up the money ladder.

Indeed it was weird. i forgot to tell that story, it was like, 5k/10k button opens to 25k? Sb ships all in like 55k and BB older guy with moustache and dark hair debates for a bit before folding. Then button and sb start talking about giving money to button fold his hand like $50 or something, jokingly i thought, but they were serious and he folded! BB then got quite annoyed as he claimed to have folded AQ since he assumed a call from button and move up money, maybe. Anyway hes correct as you can never fold there as Button even if u were stealing with rags(as he claimed) so id be pissed off too thinking that button calls 100% ofthe time.
Anyway it was just stupid and should never happen in a tourney, i personally wasnt too affected as say, the bb, so i didnt mind the 2 round penalty it seemed fair. But im not a floorman. They did lose many chips during the penalty so while they could move up the money, their chances of cashing big got crushed.
I would highly recommend to avoid rama until ALL construction is done. I was there today and oh my what a joke half the casino was closed and noisy as hell with the drilling and jack hammering. The poker room was open and not touched yet but I think the plans are they are moving it but not sure.
Was at Rama this evening for a birthday dinner, Did not play but walked by the poker room, 1/2 and 2/5 going but the place was like half to 3/4 empty! Dealers sitting there waiting for players:o.
I was surprised how dead it was at Rama overall for a Sunday, thought it would have been busier.
What time will you be there? Are you playing the tourney as it may not be sold out yet since most players don't know that the 5%-raked tourney is back?
I'm hoping both the Fallsview reg & I will be at the final table, but in case I get unlucky, I'll be stuck & looking for something to do besides any game with a BBJ rake.

LOL that BBJ. Be there in the morning and planning to be leaving early afternoon.
I always pre-buy my Rama entry, including for March 31. I'm hoping that I'll still be playing at WPT CSC until April 1, so in case JordanGM or anybody else at Playground wants to buy a Rama entry for Monday, please contact me.
Forum members have won every Rama tournament this year! :cool2: Who will be the next member to win?
My roommate made it all the way to the final 60 of WPT CSC in Montreal, :cool2: but we drove home right after so I'll be able to use my ticket after all.

26925 runners, 5.38mil prize pool, 485k up top, was good
