When the final 24 players took their seats, they were introduced as "the 24 best poker players in Canada".
I could have sworn I was 16th best. I'm going to have to run those numbers again...
I guess it would have sounded kind of funny to introduce them as "24 of the people in Canada who were the friends, co-workers, drinking buddies, cousins, etc of various employees of the local pubs that were running the first round tournaments who had happened to somehow obtain a large number of entry chips."
Okay, I just ran those Top 24 results through the computer one more time, and the poker results came out inconclusive. But I did manage to break through the Top 24 in cynicism.
