I think that idea is too confusing. Keeping it simple like the huron is perfect. Or Huron poker room... the Huron house etc
I am almost finished some ASM mock up's. Obviously the inlay is a stock one I put on there but you get the idea of the edge spot progression. I have two hundos mocked up but im leaning towards the right one I think. what do you guys like? A or B?
ok here are my 3 picks for edgespots. let me know what you think. 1 2 or 3?
3 is the most complex, 2 is medium complexity and 3 is most basic patterns.
thanks
yes its the chiptalk poker chip factory tool. its great! BCC, TKR and ASM colors.
that 'the house' inlay was just a template to choose from they had. could have also used the pharaoh inlay but I thought that one is closest to what I am going for. P5woody is going to help me in the design.
the huron to me is fairly personalized. I would love to incorporate somehow 'the huron' (or something like it) along with CM in monogram type lettering. Just dont want it too messy or jumbled.
but1 2 or 3? there is a 100 dollar difference in cost between 1 an 3 lol but $ dont matter
OK guys and now for the inlays designs! these are first round mock ups only.. please critique and make suggestions on these please. I need as much feedback as possible. I am planning on adding some drop shadows on the text as well.
Okay, using the Chip mock-ups, I would take the label on the white chip. I find the white ring around the label on the pink chip detracts from the "look". My favourite label is the one without a denomination on it, though. Not a real fan of any of the ones with your monogram on them. They just look too busy for my tastes. If you want a monogrammed set, buy one as a hot-stamp. Trying to combine the two seems to not work, to my eye. The ones with the large "H" and the "uron" seem crowded, somehow.
These are just first impressions, something may "grow" on me as I come back to these.
Thanks. Ya I must have denoms on these. I can always put the location (London Ontario) on one side and the est. 2012 on the other side. ya I like the white 1 also.
UPDATE.. just got these just now from p5woody of Chiptalk! LOVE THEM.
One of the things I forgot to mention was the oddness of London, Canada. London, Ontario is better.
I would snap-choose the hundo version. Everything works, from the bordering of the first and last letters, the two-tone lettering to differentiate them. Maybe see what it looks like with italics on the date and location, but other than that I would not look any further.
Honestly, it took me a second look to realize there were options. It's not so much the word "room" as it is the way it allows the "H" and the "R" to be underscored because it is there. Honestly, I could be persuaded in either direction. I generally like a "cleaner" look whenever possible, but I do not find the extra detail to be that cluttering (gr?).
One final comment . . . leave the word "poker" in black, but try the word "Huron" in a colour-match with the individual chip. Alternatively, use a shade that does not appear on the chips at all.
Ok, I have ordered the ASM chips with black inlays.
But now I am onto the custom table felt and I am down to these two styles. One is in black and one is in sand color. What do you guys think of the word placement (mirrored style etc)? Keep in mind the inlays on my chips are black with white denom's
any last minute critiques?
I also posted a picture of the exact type of table I will be building (minus the 'hungry frog' printed felt on this table of course but same colored suede rail)
Nice. But something about the centre logo throws me . . . maybe it's the fact that the other items are mirrored and the centre logo is not. Not sure . . .

i know what you mean. dont know if I should keep it all facing one way.

Im having a designer right now work on the inlay with name. that should be done late next week. Ill update when ready
this inlays on the mock ups are stock samples but probably closest to what look I am going for

The first thing that popped in my head when you said your name was
The May-Win Casino or maybe
May-Win Card Room
May-Win Poker Room
You May win, you may not...It uses your name, some variation on that might be cool.
Just a thought. Don't mean to restart your brainstorming. I think The Huron is not a bad name, I would just like it more personalized myself.

ummmm wow haha. guess thats a good thing! they are apparently a close representation of the old Binion's hundo I was told!
Correct.
I have a bunch of high denom (100K and up) ASMs with the U-shape inlays. Love'em.
thanks
These are just first impressions, something may "grow" on me as I come back to these.
And that hundo is purty . . .
UPDATE.. just got these just now from p5woody of Chiptalk! LOVE THEM.
UPDATE 2 .. the inlays are all black now
