When I read stuff like this, I like to remember what Red Auerbach once said about Larry Bird. Larry Bird wasn't the biggest guy on the court, or the fastest. He was never the best playmaker or shooter, either. But I still remember Auerbach's quote. He said, "Larry doesn't come to play, Larry comes to WIN."
Take this with you . . .
Slow and steady......I like to use Wetts quote of "play bad run good" lol
Thanks guys for the support but I just got crushed. I was in first place up until either turn or river and it was to 2 outers. I really should have been out in the first hour as the only thing that kept me alive was the bad players when they hit they smashed the river so I could make huge lay downs. Some hands included ak < aq, qq < a10, set of 7s get turned by set of 8s. For the most part it was pretty gruelling.
As much as the deepstack lends value to play as I watched today a lot of what I consider my problem was today was habitual limpers and me picking up a premium hand and raising in mid or late position. For the most part it never really thinned the field and I had good flops its just the hand didn't hold. If they did I would have had cruised.

Pretty sure that's the only quote that's relevant in any poker tourney
