No listings yet. We will have to wait and see.

Remember that this sale is pretty popular. So don't get your heart set on just one style of chip. They may sell out very quickly.
  • What I need is an effing birdcage or a ton of racks.

If anyone has a lead, please let me know.
  • Brand new PCA's at $0.50 per chip, $25.00 denoms and under listed. Chipcos at $0.10 per chip. More to follow . . .

    Looking for a tourney set myself . . .
  • FFS! I just go out and get PCAs to complement my cash set and he offers MY EXACT CHIPS (Desert Palms) for .29 each! FML!!!

I love love love the Empress Primaries as as MTT set, but the higher demons are quite pricey. The hundo from the Secondarys looks like it fell out of the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down.
  • I actually like the Empress $100.00 secondaries . . . po-tay-toe/po-tah-toe, I guess.

Made a cash set out of $0.25 Fitzies (gold), $1.00 PCA Secondaries, $5.00 Empress Secondaries, $25.00 PCA Primaries, and $100.00 PCA Primaries. I think the $1.00 PCA Secondary is STILL my favourite chip.
  • I see nothing impressive on that list. It actually looks pretty much the same as last year, minus the pretty roulettes.
  • So . . . don't buy anything. I'm prolly going to skip it, too.

    What's your budget?

I'd go with the Pharaohs. THEY'RE NOT PAULSONS, but still very nice. You could make a big MTT set for l like $300 too.

If you don't care about the chips, the Pioneer Club chips are $15/rack, but are injected molded aka plastic.

Let's hope he adds some better chips to the sale.
  • Yeah . . . even with the added Roulettes, there just isn't enough to spark my interest. Yet. Definitely looks like he is trying to empty the shelves for new inventory. Only option for me is to wait, or go with the Pharoah's for a tourney set. Already have them for a cash set, so I think I will wait.
  • Still no new chips added to the sale, but he did add Gemaco Cards @ $8/setup.

Still not sure what, if any chips I'll be getting.
  • I like those pink fitzy's quarters

They're almost neon pink. IMO,too bright for a poker table. Still great quality of chip.
  • I have some, if you do not get what you need Friday. FYI the Gemaco Superflex cards are a good deal @ $8.00 a set-up.
  • The Skyway Park cash set just added looks to be a very good deal too. 500pc cash set, suitable for a $1/$2 game for $175. Comes out to $.35/chip.
Not sure how many sets there will be on this one, but if anyone is looking for a good set, this is a decent one.

By the looks of them, they will need some cleaning though.

    +1.

If someone is looking for an easy cash game setup, this is good deal.

I still need a bird cage (or a large case/racks) if anyone knows of any!
  • uhhh . . . one of the other CT sponsors has cages, I believe . . .
  • Hey i'm looking for a cash set for a .25/.50 game,

any thoughts on the desert palms chips?

are those pharaohs a good deal at $.32 a chip?

Or any other suggestions for this kind of cash setup?

    I have DPs. Love'em. Here's a good cash game set-up:

    175 x .25c =$43.75
    200 x $1 = $200
    100 x $5 = $500
    25 x $25 = $625
    Total Value = $1368.75
    Cost $145 before shipping.

Pretty good value for a $50NL game. You could always buy more higher value chips in case your game is really deep.

I started my cash game set with only 300 chips, ended up adding more ones and fives later.

EDIT: For a 10 player table, you could go only 125-.25c chips =12 chips/player ($4), or 150 chips-16/player ($5). Personally, I like to have enough lower denoms for every player.
  • alright, I think i'm leaning towards the pharaohs, unless anyone has anything bad to say about those chips?

I am laying it all out in excel and had a similar set up to what you have going there. thanks man

Doubt you'll find anybody has anything negative to say about the pharaohs, excellent chip, excellent value...but it isn't a sale price. That's the regular price, unless they raised it recently. Its an excellent choice regardless.

I see the regular price at .39c a chip, and they are shown for sale as .32c a chip

When I bought mine, they were listed at .39 as well, but I only got charged .32 Like I said, may very well have increased by now. Still, IMHO you won't find a better chip at a better price.
  • got my chips! Well I ordered them....can't wait to get them in the mail....but jeez that was an expensive one.

Any suggestions on cases and chip racks? Where to buy?
  • Charlie will have them.
    straightpokersupplies
  • I don't know much about chips. Are these all rejects from card rooms/casinos that closed down or something?
  • Wouldn't call them rejects, maybe 'previously enjoyed' would be a better term.

The casino chips would come from places that closed down or upgraded their chips. These come PRIMARY and SECONDARY versions...slightly different. Primaries are the ones they would use on a daily basis on the floor and get abused quite a bit, not to mention dirty as hell. Every casino must also have an equal amount of Secondary chips on hand as well, for those just in case situations. Secondary may never see the casino floor, but there have been times when they've been required...like when someone robs the table while wearing a motorcycle helmut.

Other chipsets are what you might call FANTASY casino chips. These would include the Pharaohs, Dunes, Palms, LePaulson Noir, etc, as well as custom made chips. These chips never see a casino floor, but are ordered and sold to the home game market mostly. Usually they are the result of a designer's imagination.

Casino chips will have security features added, like UV labels or RFID chips, Fantasy chips normally do not have these features.

All chips can either be clay, injection molded, plastic, ceramic, or whatever. Casino chips are normally pure clay and usually manufactured by Paulson or ASM or BBC, who are licensed to manufacture them. Fantasy series can be made from almost anything, and the price ranges from pennies a piece to up to $4 or $5 a piece depending on what its made from and they demand for them. Often Fantasy series are manufactured offshore (China) and sent to an importer like Palm Gaming or Apache and they sell them to the North American or global home market.
  • now I know everything there is to know about chips! thanks.
