Ya i hear ya Darb.It just gets so damn frustrating at times. For example.. the other night i was in a tourney at party poker and had worked my way up to 25000 chips by stealing alot of blinds etc. So all of a sudden i get AA. Blinds are 1000/500.I raise to 3000. Just enuff to scare some donks out and enuff to get someone to call and make some coin. Buddy goes all in with 27000 chips. Of course i call and he flips over 99. 9 on flop and im out of the tourney after sittin there for 3 and a half hours and just shy of the money.I realize AA only win 80% of the time but it seems like for me its 50%.....just saying. I raise alot, but when chips get low i dont want to be out of the tourney,so i get tight. You have to. When chips are high i usually raise at least once around the table.

no no no....you see youre doing it again.....

  • i didnt say it was rigged that time.I said it gets damn frustrating. I did everything right in that tourney.Other than folding my Aces

I really feel like I'm being clear here......but I'll try on last time....

Ask what you are doing wrong...not why do I always lose when I play the same way I play every day....

    Unpossible.
  • ok...you are telling me you would have folded? I should have folded my aces? I have folded AQ and JJ or even QQ late in tourneys when someone goes all in, but Aces?

I don't want to derail this thread, but I don't think it has a topic. Any confirmed dates yet for Caesars?

22-26 for me, gotta play me some live yo.
  • Yes he ended up having 3 nines.....so ya it would have been a good fold

You said you did everything right. Even the best players cannot do that. They all make mistakes.
  • Ok,what i meant was "i was doing everything right" up until that point i guess. But to fold AA late in a tourney to some shmuck who could have AK or worse is a hard fold. Hmmmm.Ok. Still a hard fold. Tell me here who else would have folded?

Ty Hobbes, I think some people read my post wrong, I meant stars has more experienced players so the games are tougher, I have been looking at a couple of other sites that 1) is more euro's (which ya no usa that is pretty much all it is anywhere) and 2) that has rakeback or I already have rakeback at and 3) different structure's that may work more for me better.

What are the important terms for Team Moshman? When I eventually reach that point when online gets too tough and I become only a break-even player that makes money through rakeback/promotions, my choice will be either to look for a tournament coach or retire from grinding to spend more time with my family.

I have to look it over again to be honest, this was a few months ago, they want you to play 150 games minimum a week at least 5 dollar buy in's from what I remember.

I think a former forumer ( say that really fast, lol) from pfca! is a coach, monteroy? But don't quote me on that as I am not 100 percent sure.

I may have a connection per say for another source of coaching which I may look at it, pretty much just have to record games I play or played from a hand replayer and pass it on to him to take a looksie over.:)

Relax Colt . . . i am pretty sure the sarcasm metre is pinned. You got beaten by variance on that hand is all . . . as for any other hands, well every hand starts with a fresh deal, and a new chance to fuck up. Sometimes you play perfect and lose, sometimes you fuck up and win . . . it's a CRAZY game.

    That's how I get money :(
