  • Helmuth vs Juanda heads up. Live right now

2011 World Series of Poker - Live Video Stream
  • And Juanda takes it down.....hate to say it, but looked like Helmuth played pretty well in this non-holdem event.

Alot of tough players at the final table on this one, and he passed all but one.
  • There 14th to 21st staying at Bally's. Playing the 18th $1500 and possible $1000 on Sunday.

  • Congratulations to Animaux for making it to the money in the WSOP on her first try! :wav:
And no 30% withholding tax!

Looking forward to a posted trip report. I think she is the first active forumer to cash in a WSOP event this year, but hopefully there will be more.

That looks pretty good. So I guess the only way to get a seat is through an email reservation? Would love to try something like this sometime.

I was thinking of I should 'splurge' on the Sterling Brunch at Bally's this time around. I guess I can add this to the list. Any other recommendations?
  • Congrats to Steve Kerr for finishing 53rd, and earning a 5 figure score at the WSOP. Now if Pudge can just keep the run-good going we may get a Forum member to a Final Table . . .
  • GarryC out in 303 in Event 34, cashing his first ever WSOP event for $1895
    Good run Garry!!!
  • Just tell me that his closing hand was not "the Garry" . . .

nope 99 vs JJ vs QQ
  • Too bad . . . could have been a classic melt-down . . .
  • GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO 16 left.

Pham Kimphuc moved all in preflop and action folded around to Kirk Caldwell who made the call.

    Kimphuc: QQ
    Caldwell: JJ

Kimphuc was ahead preflop and it stayed that way as the flop came 6610. The turn brought the A, making Caldwell need a jack and only a jack to send Kimphuc home. Unfortunately for Kimphuc, the J peeled off on the river and he was sent packing, collecting $23,861 for his efforts.
  • Chiplead?

Geyer Sets Trap, But Gets Crippled
Kirk Caldwell opened to 52,000 from early position, and Adam Geyer called in the cutoff seat. The flop fell down k106, and Caldwell continued for 77,000. Geyer raised to 180,000, Caldwell moved all in for 675,000, and Geyer snapped it off.

    Caldwell: K10
    Geyer: AA

Geyer was in rough shape, and needed an ace, six, or running pair cards to make the best hand. He did not when the turn and river came , however, and is now nursing the shortest stack in the room.
