Hey guys, thought id throw a thread up here to talk about this years WSOP
Feel free to comment on all events and if anyone is going down throw it up here too.
I, myself, am leaving June 29th and will be down there until the 8th hopefully longer.
I plan on playing in the $1000 on the 2nd of july and the $1500 5th. Myself and a couple buddies are staying at Treasure Island so if anyone is down there feel free to hit me up!
GL to those going down soon and already there... Canada repeat the Main Event?!? No phil ivey so we have to be the favourites right?

Yeah I sometimes splurge on 1 fine dining meal a trip...
And no 30% withholding tax!
Looking forward to a posted trip report. I think she is the first active forumer to cash in a WSOP event this year, but hopefully there will be more.
Gratz
Should be Guaranteed over $7k so far
That looks pretty good. So I guess the only way to get a seat is through an email reservation? Would love to try something like this sometime.
I was thinking of I should 'splurge' on the Sterling Brunch at Bally's this time around. I guess I can add this to the list. Any other recommendations?
Good run Garry!!!
nope 99 vs JJ vs QQ
Pham Kimphuc moved all in preflop and action folded around to Kirk Caldwell who made the call.
Kimphuc: QQ
Caldwell: JJ
Kimphuc was ahead preflop and it stayed that way as the flop came 6610. The turn brought the A, making Caldwell need a jack and only a jack to send Kimphuc home. Unfortunately for Kimphuc, the J peeled off on the river and he was sent packing, collecting $23,861 for his efforts.
Geyer Sets Trap, But Gets Crippled
Kirk Caldwell opened to 52,000 from early position, and Adam Geyer called in the cutoff seat. The flop fell down k106, and Caldwell continued for 77,000. Geyer raised to 180,000, Caldwell moved all in for 675,000, and Geyer snapped it off.
Caldwell: K10
Geyer: AA
Geyer was in rough shape, and needed an ace, six, or running pair cards to make the best hand. He did not when the turn and river came , however, and is now nursing the shortest stack in the room.
