  • holdemresources say that if you have a 3k stack vs two 5k stacks at blinds 100/200 button should shove 17% SB should call about 4% and you with 3k in the BB should only ever overcall with aces given a 50/30/20 payout. Pretty cool stuff

(with antes it's 21% shove, 5% call and still only AA overcall)
  • I think this is true for everysite but P*. From what I heard once the cards are dealt, the flop turn and river are already in place.

lol my bad then: I do know that on full tilt, after the flop, the deck continues to shuffle until the turn, and then continues to shuffle until the river.

It sounds like it was something like:

Stack A has 10k in chips
Stack B has 10k in chips
Philli has 5k in chips with QQ in the BB.

Stack A shoves, stack B shoves, Philli folds.

fyp for pretty close to it.;)

My co-workers are even laughing at this thread saying why are they argueing with themselves and about 1 petty hand.

I made the mistake that this forum was changing a bit with all the good poker chat, which their is still some good poker chat in this thread for example Richard's post who I still rank as one of the better players on here besides me of course but alas I know the peeps are not at the level where you have to do tough folds, which their is nothing wrong with that, it's something I have run into before.

I am a firm believer of not putting the money in when behind unless you have to, I knew I was like 20%ish to win, turns out I was only 10%ish to win, even if I figured out I was 35%ish to win I defo would have called in that situation. So sorry I don't put money in when I am losing like some of you but I am proud of you guys that you don't believe in ICM.

I play my way which has been proven that it works, you and btp for example play your way that suits you but you guys play mtt's, not stt's, that's fine, you go with what works for you.:)

I have moved on past that game and not let the result (which would have been different if I called anyway, so again don't know why all the drama) effect me and I am ready for the next game. :)

Actually the whole point in folding monsters here would be that we assume we're better that 35% to win almost always, but the chips we gain in the long run by calling are worth less than the immediate reward of moving up one step in the money
  • The pure hilarity of Philli both putting his skill ahead of BTP and Wetts is only matched by that of his co-workers thinking they know more than BTP and Wetts. Please, continue. This is so much fun to watch.

You ask for us to coach you but when we tell you your doing something wrong, you say were wrong.....worth the time and effort? Prob with people at the lower levels(and phili) is that when things go right, after they say well I KNEW I was like 20%ish to win. You didnt know, you thought, and in the long run this isnt a good fold, believe that it is all you want thats fine.
Again talking about something you know nothing about. I play plenty of STTs, I have a large sample bigger then yours even ;).
If you dont want to hear our opinions on your hands just tell us and Ill gladly not say anything.
  • Thats pure gold Philli.
