Understood quite a few of you are playing a lot higher than $33.

These are def not $33 tournaments.....

You could blow through 300 easily without even playing a hand.

Been there done that. I think I went through 300 alone in the final 2 blind levels before the add-on

Understood quite a few of you are playing a lot higher than $33.'s so do you all have $100K in your poker bankrolls? Find that VERY hard to believe... I guess where I am in life I could put $100k in my poker bankroll but wife might not be too happy with that...:) And wouldn't bankroll rules really only apply if poker is your primary source of income?

Keep in mind that this is coming from someone who has played no higher than a $26.50 online tourney in his entire lifetime....

Like others said, 33r 3x turbo isn't a normal tourney. I'd recommend like 30k roll (poker roll, not life roll :P) to play a normal 30r, and 100k for the 3x turbo b/c the structure of them is high variance in so many ways, and like others have said, not making add-on basically defeats the purpose of playing them cuz it's so huge. In order to make add-on I'd be surprised if someone had an avg buyin under like $350 or something, then add the fact that avg stack is like 8BB after add-on.

yup! 300 is probs on the low end. I've only kept track a couple of times, and I think every time I've played I've went over $400 to make add-on, but maybe I was running bad too.
  • I agree that you need a larger bankroll to absorb the losses in the $33 3-x turbo rebuys. Even though it's high variance, there is still a lot of value since the structure is so unique...and as a result a lot of ppl don't play them well and/or are dead money since they rarely make it to the add on.

I'm sure you can play these and easily spend less than $300 on avg....by late registering, single rebuying, and stalling.

Also just getting to the add-on period is a pretty big deal...since even though the majority of the money is in first place....there's often prize money for 2nd through - x spot...that will cover all your rebuys/add on's in the tourney.

    ha ha.....me too.....saved me a hundy
  • All busted cept for the Bodog $100k which I added
  • How did you get $ 4.84 as a total for 1%?
  • I'm confused as to how to calculate bap payouts. Do you just take the winnings and take the respective %, or do you take the buyins for the cashed tournaments out of it. The first google hit I got used the latter so that is what I did.
  • The way your BAP is set up, it's based on winnings alone.

I can check later on 2p2

Don't worry same here, I know their is a couple of ways doing it, I was wondering which way you were doing it, it's what only .60 cents between the 2 ways( I think).

But anyway I am o.k. with either full tilt or stars, will p.m. ya.:)
  • Did a bit of checking and it should have been a % based on the cashes without deducting the buy-ins.

    No biggie though.
