Sometimes ya gotta take a ride on that TILT-a-Whirl.
I think in most cases whoever is going to call.
Right now I am getting destroyed by shit hands that people are catching
Left right and center.
2 biggest stacks at the 5K tourney I was playing in caught river after river after river.
Like I have said shit happens, especially if I am at the table.
Okay so I have learned something today.... Never post strat from work....
Ran some stove, and bam! we are crushing his calling range. You are correct that only 3 combos of AQ left to call us here and way more that could call our shove. I still dunno if a shove would get calls from the straights, but I threw those in there too, along with the lower boats.
if i new these were debatable i woulda posted in the strat or analyze my hand section. I guess though bad beat should be judged as a beat or bad play and moved if the latter. Even if the op doesn't care to discuss, we should still copy the hand over as if its some random quiz and discuss it.....
yeah I feel super dumb once I got home and re-read everything... I was kinda stressed (no excuse at the tables - I know) at work today and felt like reading poker stuff.... then got busy halfway through replying and the rest was a clusterfluck shown above.
villain calls with
AT, KT, QT, JT, T9, JJ,
QQ,KK, AA (not so likely)
weird 2 pairs....
44, 88, 66
plus some hands he folds
vs.
reasons we don't bet
77 (, and j7 but not likely) QcJc
other QJ maybe floats this bloat and leads turn...not so likely......
This is good analysis but your missing a part, you only gave the villain 2 options.
Are you planning to call all river raises? If you are, the line is fine.
I look at it from kind of a different perspective. If Im the villain in this hand and you lead that particular river, I raise almost always because there are even less 7's/QJ in your range than there are in mine.

well...in this hand i assume villain never has a 7....turn out im wrong however for some reason he doesn't re raise anyways. but i only think he re raises better hand... a case in point here......
all this your thoughts on my range stuff...will be my next level >:D
...and it was small stakes books i was reading....and the point was villain never re raise bluffs here very rare....and that was why i was missing my value bets here...
Also wetts is pretty much spot on. I am raising that river if I am villian for the exact reasons he mentioned. Its looks much less suspect villian hammered that river than you.

i am not play you or wetts though.....and villain can have 77 although unlikey there is way more that calls and doesn't raise..... (note villain had a 7, 2nd nuts and didn't raise...)

concede yoda, to you i do...
But I still think its a fold pre
You have the 2nd nuts. When can you ever put a villain on that tight of a range that you say to yourself, you know, maybe I shouldnt get it in here.
I like it on all streets fwiw.
Im check calling the rivs in the 99 hand.

Move along now...
