So Phili. how about a recounting of how you analyze your game. This is one of my worst points. when I have time I just want to play even though I know I would do much better if I took the time to analyze my play more before and after getting into the mixer.
Do you have hands that you over play? (like losing large with JJ but making money with TT and QQ)
How is your VPIP/PFR ratio? do your results change as the ratios change in a session? - I find that of course I'm more profitable (relatively) when more aggressive with the PFR. When playing in my comfort zone I'm about 18/8 but losing. when I can get around 22/15 then I actually do better. Though I really wish I could be one of those guys at 40/30 as it looks like a lot of fun but I don't have the post flop skills yet to make that work.
So how often do you get in there and do the analysis on your play? do you use the leak finders in HEM or like programs?
keep it up.
I know right after the hand is played what I could have done different to be honest, I do replay some hands in hem to see percentages and stuff, as for my vpip and pfr, it really depends on the table and the opportunities that come up that I recognize , I could be close to 30 vpip 1 tourny or(usually cause of the levels i am starting at) under 10 vpip. Last night I was 3 betting more and I was shocked people were folding, well the one guy was a idiot, one of those I am raising every time I am on the button so of course I picked up on that but the other guy was a tag, I thought for sure he was going to call, but he folded:o, I had AA.
Right now since I started this latest adventure, I am running below e.v. .
I know when I did not play a hand right, you see pros on t.v. saying, "man I should of bet the turn" or something like that, well that's me, instead I say shit or fuck:D, but at this level people don't know what a fold button is.
Right now the problems that jump out are I make decisions too fast sometimes I think(I know I am trying to get into playing more tables so that won't help).
I hate heads up, so anyone feel free to post good heads up strategy and I am sure my bad luck will take over anyway if i use it,lol
Going to look around full tilt here in a few minutes, so will see what today brings
Philli, I think you're the one person on here that gives my anger issues a run for their money when it comes to poker and how upset I can get. Sometimes you just have to take a breath. Yes, it sucks, yes it's horseshit that people keep hitting that. The hardest part I have remembering when I have runs, days, months like that is A) I got in with the best of it I want those guys making that play every single day of my life and (this is the most important part) C) I want them thinking they made the right move and that they didn't get lucky.
Note it down (don't just trust the stats HEM is spitting out), congratulate them on their play, chin up and move forward.
And before you say it, yes I know that is easier said than done.

No we are still ahead of t8urmoney, unless you destroy keyboards as well:D
Meh, moving up stakes > adding more tables at this level...
Do you realize what a good winrate is at sngs? Without volume you will never get anywhere, so you may as well start learning right now at whatever limits you play.

Exactly, you are making $8 a game at the $55 level -- so if you play only 30 games a week you are only making $1k a month. To make it worthwhile you have to be at least 5-6 tabling. Plus, your ROI is way at the upper end for STTs -- what games are you playing?

I am o.k. with 1k a month playing poker, I would be in heaven.;)

Well that's not exactly what it means, avg stats get skewed hardcore playing all diff game types and buy-in levels. Those are mostly 45-mans and 90s, these are my STT stats for $50+ fwiw:
Pretty sure I didn't play more than 4 tables until I made it to the $50 level. IMO mass tabling is for making profit/playing professionally, but if you wanna improve and move up (which is what he's doing I assume) <4-tables is completely fine. I remember when I was moving up every time I increased my buy-in level I freakin 1-tabled and took mad notes for my first 20-30 games so I could exploit regs tendencies before I started adding tables. It took maybe 2 months to go from $10-$100 STTs never playing more than 4 tables until $50+ iirc.
I never ever seeing playing that many tables for regular sessions, I played that many on stars for double or nothing's clearing a bonus(played like 16 at once lol).
I was just experimenting with 4 tables on full tilt, seemed everything was normal but my memory is so high at like 87%, cpu is at 20-30% as I had task manager open to see, anyone got suggestions on how to lower the memory?
But yes GTA I want to boost how many tables I am playing a lil bit. I am aiming for 4, if by some chance I get used to that then 6 but I don't think I will go over that.
Multitabling is a bad idea going thru bad runs also, kinda back and forth right now for me but a smidge in the running o.k. so starting to look at boosting number of tables.
But the original plan may be stalled as I might have to withdraw some of the bankroll( if not all of it,extra expenses this month, booo).
So this has to happen, some day I will have a stable bankroll like normal people,lol.:-[
But if anyone is interested in staking, lending whatever you want to call it $100 so I can continue with my original plan(ooops there is that word again:p) here for 50/50 cut and I will reimburse any losses under the 100(if any as this may just be for 2 weeks or so or could be long term), so say I can have my own roll again and we are at like 70 bucks total bankroll, I will ship back the the 70 plus the 30 in losses(there might be a delay until my pay period for losses to be shipped), so you can't lose anything.
Feel free to p.m. if you need stats for the games I will be playing, 9, 18 and maybe 27 man starting at 2.25 level and hope I don't have to drop to 1.20 level like the last few days, I hope to reach 30 buyins for the 5.50 level and start dabbling into those games but still mainly playing the 2.25.
So to turn some negative issues around, I started rereading harrington on hold em, mostly post flop play, do you think some of this is still applicable to the micro/low levels? I know some of it is old and not really useful in some instances now.
Kind of just refreshing some situations so when I can play again I will have some more good vibes(been doing ok in some situations the last 2 days before I had to withdraw, being able to 3 bet more, semi bluffing etc etc).
There is some hands I am not happy with myself on how I played them, like 1 hand I folded too fast when I had ridiculous odds and I would have won a ok size pot if I stayed in.(I did still end up cashing though).

It's been 1 week now,, 40 games played which is wow! for me, I took a day off too, I was aiming for 20-30 a week.
?

Well suitedpair, just played a game, I got to play 1 hand for a vpip of 4 and I just missed the money, lolololol
Now that's skill baby:D
in eastern philosophy speech like this degrades any skill you might have.
yup, it's the usual time for high and drunk darbday! wooohoooo:D
so here you are
ευτυχής που έχω την τύχη σας
english only on pokerforum...
theres no specific time for this.
i promise i am the drunken poker master and it drives people nuts...but if you tip the dealer and server big they won't kick you out...
I was trying to do english philosophy for him.:D
Why am I always picked.
What a sad state, this screws everything up for me now.
Outlasted a idiot, so some justice.
Nice to have things go your way for once.............
except there's a high risk that you'll bust before cashing anything out. No offense meant ^^'
i am nowhere near cashing out on there due to their
minimum withdrawal.
I really needed these 1st places let me tell you to give me a mental boost after the horrible run the last week.
I would have cashed in the other game i was playing but lost to a runner runner flush
But it has been a winning Sunday which I can rarely say that for a Sunday.
So just a smidge over starting bankroll and I will go back to the 2.25's and see what I can do.
So this has to happen, some day I will have a stable bankroll like normal people,lol.:-[
