  • Next time you think he has pockes aces fold pre, you have like 17% equity if the hand goes to showdown and even less if you're getting pushed off flops. You're not nearly deep enough for such wierd souldreading

    we're not done either....

listen what range do you have my opponent on and at what point are you sure he has aces and only aces. i have no oustanding hud stats other than the fact that hes a fairly decent tightish player

Preflop I can't get a huge amount of information about his range from one bet. If I had to guess I'd put him on some kind of a scared hand like 88-JJ or AK or maybe a really scared player with an even bigger hand as you say.

On the flop the cbet doesn't do a whole lot to narrow his range but when he 3bet shoves you on the flop he probably has some piece of it like 1010, AA, AK, AJdd although he might just be doing it with jacks or something random cause he feels like you're picking on him. What I'm trying to say is that I rarely put someone on aces until he shows them to me
  • Holy popcorn!

see flop equity (although id like to suggest he slowplays both tt an kk)

    i have him on aces

    Board: Ks Td 6d

    Wins Ties Equity
    52.47% 0.00% 52.47% ( AA, )
    47.53% 0.00% 47.53% ( KdQd )

i don't know what that all amounts to but my point is i think without my read its a call but with a "laser" read its a fold maybe, am i really that good to fold? yes...and no

Now I am confused. You'll "flip" against a set but you may fold the flop if you think he has Aces?

no your not confused, you understand. i didn't realize until the last post its a possible fold vs. aces.... i just knew it was close plus the fact that i can't play as if im daniel negreanu....i have to put him on a realistic range so i called. ill stack against the range including the odd set, but i put this guy on AA and called because of it, shoulda folded. but the real reason i played this hand was to call the 20k into 70k to hit one of 13 outs and bust him with his 88+, ak....shoulda smooth called i think.
  • This has probably been said over and over again but we're calling like 100k to win A LOT so there's no way we're folding even if he shows us aces
