  • meh, fistpump call pretty much
  • I think I would either shove or fold pre. Has 4x been his standard raise? I hate flatting 1/8th of my stack here, but maybe I'm wrong. I guess it would depend how light he has been opening. Any stats on him?
    As played I call too.
  • Other than a set you're not that bad of shape. even if he has AA with the Ad your only a 55:45 dog. Without the Ad it 50:50.

    Get er in.

before we stack off vs jj+, ak, we must sherlock holmes the flop. stats say hes got the goods, he's got the goods, hes got the goods....
  • What other flop are you looking for with your hand?

    Can't see ever folding.
  • I hate the flat pre (I really hate KQ in a calling spot unless he is a lagtard), shove, 3bet to get it in, or fold...depending on his stats.

As played I am putting it in all day long.

your gonna stack off preflop at this point in the tourney with kqs vs pocket aces??? wtf?

i was looking to flop 3 kings or queens, possibly a flush or a straight. not too happy about this there flop...

You have the goods to you know...although I must say his line is more indicative of AK than AA but either way that's a flip at worst

    you're doing it wrong =/

I'll take a race against a set too thank you very much
  • As posted by almost all, get it in. With the money in the pot already you can't ever fold this no matter if he turned his hand face up.... The flush draw is what makes this hand plus you have the 3 live Q's... Only to a set are you in some trouble and even then only 2-1

    ya damn hey....

the post flop re raise was a la Comp

    *** FLOP *** [6d 8d Js]
    forboon bets 160
    compuease raises to 320
Wildbill7146: So, did we find out who that was?
CluelessNewbie (Observer): Can we discuss a chop LOL
forboon has 15 seconds left to act
    forboon calls 160

Anyways he showed aces and i lost the race....not sure what that means...

If you know he has aces preflop you fold obviously....as well as if he is super tight..as I said, I hate calling with KQ and would rather fold it.....if he is a lag tard, I will 3 bet him all day...if he has a history of light 4's...sure, let's dance.

again, post flop, it's a no brainer. Even (as comp said) if he has aces/ak..we still have a pile of equity...if not we are looking pretty good.

Looking to flop trips or a flush or a straight is certainly praying to the poker gods. (they don't listen often enough for me)

Then your question is rhetorical sir ;)

no i don't..... i call, i feel he has aces, but i know he has JJ+, ak ....and i flat (does that mean call?)

no no hes got the goods here trust me...

yes and it seems i'm quite better than a coinflip in the long run

in my style of play i always look to flop trips or a flush or a straight
  • lol, I didn't even recognize my own play! How's that for disguising your hand?

Actually I think we both played it pretty standard post flop. Preflop your call of my raise was likely a little loose against an ol tighty but post flop, neither of us was folding... Pretty standard imo... This was pretty similar to a hand I posted from my Vegas trip, I had Aces against KQ, non suited though and we got it in on a K high flop... lol, I lost that one for a LOT more $$$ to a Q on the turn..
  • darbday wrote: »

Ok...so you hit your k or q without the flush draw...then what?
no no hes got the goods here trust me...
So why put yourself in a shitty situation to start with? Lots of time, lots of chips....KQ isn't a favorite calling hand of mine against a tight player.

no we were the blinds and i limped the small blind which was my mistake. i was folding until i hit my third jack and could beat everything but a flush. this situation is different especially because i am suited preflop (and post ;) ) the point is if i can hit i then yes you will lose all to one of my 13 or so outs..

    check fold baby

standard small ball play in position, great read, suited connectors, 30 bb's.....if i can catch him i can stack him with a very tight range.

suited connectors that are crushed typically unless we hit our 1.3% trips or straight... or the .8% hitting the flush.

I like something like 78s or 89s etc when making this particular flat call in position.

    yes me too
  • Meh, tough hand pre for me. There are times I flat, sometimes I raise, others I fold. Mainly read dependent.

This flop I fist pump shove know at worst I am 65/35 (vs a set). You have to gamble on this flop as there is just too much in the middle.

You have got to be kidding me <.< Fix this leak asap pleasu

nope thats small ball, i can do it i believe because i have such tight read.

not saying check folding flop without diamonds is always wrong. I'm just saying that you're not deep enough to flat pre if that's your plan imo
