  • I think it's a Goldstar. Nothing but the finest late 20th century technology for my man-cave Bill . . .

You'd be surprised what sort of pix you find on google. Or not . . .

I have no experience with the Wii. If you get a ps3, it has a built in browser. You can connect wirelessly, or hardwired via ethernet.

Perfect reason for you to upgrade TV's from your circa 2001 model. You can get plasmas that have a VGA input in some of the higher end models, most of the mid range.

Just don't try and run tournament director and ask Panasonic if that's ok or they will crush your dreams by telling you it'll burn in and your warranty will be void.
  • Jah, the answer is 'yes, you can use your wii to browse..in my experience this is not the most efficient way to do so though"
  • No-one has one of these? Full of win.

I've used my DVD player like 3x since I bought this last Aug. It's connected right now to a 1 tb drive which holds my entire media collection of jpgs, mp3s, avis, mkvs etc.
  • Moose, what the hell is that thing? Western Digital obviously. Looks like my WD1Tb ext. drive but with a remote?
  • Another vote for Paradigm speakers. Great value for the money. Been a loyal customer for 25 years.
  • I use terabyte drives to store all my media -- dvds are so 2008

WDTV. Now it comes in a Live version. May buy it so I can have two of these babies.
  • I enjoy playing Pong . . .

Milo, with the vintage of your TV, I'd be surprised if it didn't come with Pong built in.
  • I'll work on a pic once I get it set up a bit better but...

I have a 40" Samsung LED t.v. - and it honestly has the best picture I've seen anywhere. I'm not even trying to boast here, you throw a blu-ray on this thing, and it'll blow your mind.

You guys should start a 'Man-Cave' thread..please include pics of couches and such for my sake when you do.
  • Also, the combo of this, the computer, AND the depositing on Tilt threads have CONVINCED me that you guys are too stressed out about the small stuff.

The next minute details discussed should be an ROI on massage parlours or about getting some group bonus whoring benefits with actual whores imho.

You guys need to relieve some pressure. ;)

Yes it decodes everything that I have thrown at it, except for the odd mov file that plays without sound. Full 1080p HDMI out and 5.1 digital optical sound out too. The decode quality is so much better than burning avis to dvd and using divx.
  • Place is a mess, so no pics.

    Toshiba 44" LCD
    XBox360
    PS3
    Wii
    Sony STR-DG510 5CH Surround Sound
Cogeco PVR (Yeah, kinda crapped out on that part)
    500+ DVD/Bluray
    200+ PS/PS2/PS3/360/Gamecube/Wii games
7' Cat Climbing Tree (they have to be entertained too)

Speakers are minimal, not overly cool, but work very well.
  • how am I really the only one who thought to put on porn before taking a picture?
  • looked like an exercise video

It was called 'super spanish' iirc..she has sex with her personal trainer. It was very highly rated on Youporn, but I honestly don't know why..I had to turn it off, she was unbearable- even with the sound off.
  • looking to purchase a new television in the next month. Any suggestions for around $1,200 (non-plazma)? Probably looking at 42 inch size range. Like the Samsung or Sony brands but open to suggestions if any good deals on right now. Just needed for watching television or DVDs. Thanks.
  • You don't need to spend anything close to 1200 for a 42". Samsung LCDs are good.
