  • Not sure. Guy has posted on here in the past. Some guys from here appear to have met him at the Poker Expo and said he produces good poker tables. Maybe try pm'ing him from here or something?

    This.

I met him. Nice guy. Beautiful tables, although they quite expensive.

Give it a until Monday, I say. Maybe he's off on vacation, or unable to access his website/email.

Please keep us informed on the outcome.
  • I personally have known Bob Crummer for a number of years. He is not a scammer and has a legit business. I'm sure there's a reason behind the delay. Try PMing him as suggested, and I think his website has a place to send him msgs as well.
  • Thanks for the replies. I am sure I am just being impatient.

I've had a bad experience in the past online where my order went unnoticed for a month, only to find out after calling that they simply forgot about the order.
  • I have ordered supplies from him a few times with no problems

How long did you wait before you received your merchandise? Did you get any sort of tracking number?
  • I ordered some volara padding and some speed cloth from him last month (which is for sale in the buy and sell forum). I did get it all but it was very difficult getting any correspondence going with them. Several e-mails went unanswered for days and I was also promised a tracking number but never did get one. Material did arrive though, that's the main thing. I just think they need to pay more attention.
  • Did you check your spam folder?

    Yeah I did. Nothing.

Still haven't heard anything today. This is a terrible way to run a business.

And I was thinking I would get my cloth quickly considering I am only less than a 3 hours drive from where it has to come from. :bs:
  • patience guy... you've already been told he's legit. It's only been a few days...

Patience has never been one of my strong points. :)

I guess I am just spoiled from other retailers with their quick response and delivery times.
  • Fuck me. The guy is obv a small businessman and master craftsman. Do you think he has 2000 Chinese guys making poker tables in China and a 400 person call centre in India just waiting to process your order? It's not his fault you wet the bed and no longer feel comfortable playing poker on your mattress without some suited speed cloth to cover the stain.

If I want an unintelligent, brusque response, rest assured I'll ask for one. In the mean time, clamber on back home under your bridge.

I am asking for no more than what their website claims: "We have the best customer service team in Canada and will respond to any and all inquiries within 24hrs."

    +1

Just because he is doing them himself, doesn't mean he shouldn't tend to his customers. If he is gone away for a few days...it is simple to set up a simple auto "away" reply on his email...An auto reply with confirmation of the order is also very simple, and gives customers a piece of mind. Small tokens go a long way.

I too, am impatient with online supply companies..been given the run around too many times after claims of great customer service...

edit-as many know the guy and have dealt with him, I am sure your order will be shipped, and by no means think it is a scam...just slow..lol
  • I spoke with the guy on the phone and he's a very nice guy AND the product did arrive in excellent shape. So, while I would order from them again, I would make sure that I am in no rush to receive it.

I'm not that concerned (although it may have seemed that way) about how long it takes to get here (though it shouldn't take long once it ships), but more concerned with the lack of correspondence and order verification...

I am sure you guys are right though, and probably just have the misfortune of ordering while the guy is on vacation.
  • So..if this is a legit company anymore, someone please tell me why I have ordered and paid for over $800 worth of supplies from Crummer Poker Supplies in November 2009...and have yet to see any product!!!

This is my third order....the first two with out a problem...and now this?????

Communication was never his strong suit...however this is beyond 'a few days wait'......

I tried calling the number today...only to find it is 'no longer in service'....what is a customer to think?????

Does anyone have a recent number????

Wow. This isn't sounding good. Looks like I might be calling my credit card company Monday after all. November? Really? Is the the guy dead or what?

What did you order BTW? Was it out of stock items? Still, that would be no excuse for not hearing from them.
  • Crummer not a good name IMO
  • Since there is a chance Crummer Poker Supplies is M.I.A, is there any other poker suppliers in Canada from which to buy Speed cloth from?

Thanks for the offer, but I only need 60 inches (My table is octagon shaped). BTW, I am in PEI, that would be a long drive to "meet in the middle". :)

    But I'm worth it!
  • I found this Canadian retailer: Straight Poker Supplies - Canada's #1 Online Poker Super Store !!!

The cloth is a bit more expensive, but with cheaper shipping. Also seems to have a huge variety of items. Wish I would have found them first.

I will give Crummer the benefit of the doubt, and hope to hear something by Monday. I certainly don't have the patience of one of the previous posters who ordered merchandise in November of '09 and still hasn't received it.

That is the number that says "this number is no longer in service" when you dial it.

Out of stock merchandise or not, he charged my visa for the product back in November of 09 and has shipped 'nothing' of the order. I ordered 2 complete kits to make 2 tables. The foam was out of stock...but that did not stop him from shipping the rest of the order!!!

My gut feeling is that this guy has skipped town!!!

That being the case, it can easily be remedied. Just do a chargeback through PayPal.
