  • What!?!? Free smokes!!?!?!? Moose, I'll admit, you're the man in terms of finding great deals on stuff but free smokes? I can't believe I just got excited about free smokes. God I need to quit. So, Moose....how's this work and where?

Plus, my buddy and I just finalized dates for our next trip down there. Doesn't sound like the gf's are coming this time so it could be....well, my buddy's a grad from U of W engineering so it'll be a sensible, well intentioned... logical time. Sometimes it's like hanging out with Mr. Spock. (Had to get in the dig about U of W engineers. Knew it'd hit a big vein here.)

Anyhoo, we're heading down May long weekend. Leave on Thursday return on Monday, not sure where to stay this time. Buddy says he's not staying at the Sahara AGAIN, which is probably a good idea. Per Moose's suggestion we're keeping an eye on Spirit air and whatever else he suggests! Thanks again for that little tidbit Moose.
  • It's not as prevalent as it once was as most poker rooms are now nonsmoking but I remember my first trip - they had the cigarette ladies going around with trays of smokes and stogies. But I believe if you ask they will bring you a pack.

Hmm I just did a google search and everything in Vegas is non-smoking except the actual gaming floor, strip bars and bars that don't serve food. I'm still pretty sure I saw guys getting stogies last trip but maybe I'm wrong.

I have never been a smoker but don't notice the smoking on the casino floors being much of a problem... The ventilation is so good that it really doesn't build up at all... Now it may be different in the older "off strip" properties but for all the times I've been to Vegas in the last 5 years the strip casino's are fine...

When I was down last year at the Riviera....playing Pai Gow, I found out they will give smokes if you're playing $15+ / hand. So, my smokes cost me $150....but they came with a few drinks too.
  • If I remember right, you said the miss likes to play slots, bring lots of money for that instead of the booze, the folks said they really have them set to tight, also they cranked up the volume on them so it sounds busier then it is to get people to come in.
  • Yay...less than a week. Venetian 16-18, Aria 19, Vancouver 20.
  • Moose:

Good luck at the tables - and at the cage! ;)

    Have a great trip!
  • Jeff, even in the off strip properties it's fine. Downtown at the nugget or binions it doesn't bother me in the least. The newer casinos you'll never notice it.

Just got back from vegas and I thought 60 something was cold what is this snow sh*t????
