Prize Pool:
Based on total number of participants.
11-20 players; 1st place receive seat voucher, 2nd & 3rd split remaining pot
21-32 players; 1st and 2nd receive seat vouchers, 3rd & 4th split remaining pot

These blinds mimic those of the actual tournament in January, however the blinds are half in length. This should provide a minimum six to eight hour tournament.

We will break at Level 7 for dinner (estimated time 5:45pm). Depending on what the group decides, we can order in, or remaining participants can try local cuisine in the area. The dinner break time length is flexible to accommodate as necessary.

Once we break down the first table, those wishing to remaining and play cash games are more than welcome to stay. Cash game participants will hold responsibility for the format of the cash game as well as rules. There is a copy of Roberts Rules of Poker available if necessary for both the cash game as well as the satellite. Standard Chinguacousy Hill Poker League house rules will apply and can be found here under League Rules:
http://www.pokerforum.ca/f21/league-rules-structure-16379/

Both the satellite and cash games will be RAKE FREE. I MAY require additional seating depending on total number of players, so if you can bring a folding chair or two, that would most appreciated.

For those who haven't attended one of my games, parking can be a pain on my street, however, there are several side streets available as well as a school parking lot that can be utilized, all within a five minute walk to my door. Carpooling would be a good idea if possible.

Not sure I would get enough interest in $250-$300 satellite in order to warrant a seat, but if we can fill up at $100, we can make the $2500 seat available maybe? Right now, I'm just trying to gauge how much interest there would be. Oh, and I did some quick layout adjustments and I MAY be able to host as many as 32 players, but it will be tight.

One person has already asked if all players can share in any winnings the eventual seat winner may get...that's another option we an discuss once we see how much interest we get for this one.
  • Blinds are posted in a thread on 2+2 and are also readily available on any FPC brochure from the Fallsview Poker Room.
  • 13card I heard its max 300 entree per event is this correct.

    Yes.
  • Would be interested.
  • I think you mean Saturday the 28th. If so I would also be interested.
  • Yep..I should be good to go on the 28th. Will need to confirm later on though.

Yes Saturday Nov 28...my bad. Corrected the OP
  • I'm also interested in a satellite for the $2,500 10,000-chip event, but I'll probably play for a $1K seat.

Unfortunately, that entire thread seems to have been deleted by 2+2's Nazi moderators. :( I have a bad feeling when somebody gets the chance to post the Patience Factor and Skill Level of the $1K 5,000-chip event.
  • Hey AJ,

I guess I can't miss this. Count me in.

  • There seems to be sufficient interest in this satellite to hold it, so when I get home tonight, I'll update this thread with the blinds and formalize the game.

    GAME ON!!
  • Wow tough satellite field....hahaha....I "may" be able to make it out as well. I'll post an update in a couple of days (just have to check my schedule)
  • if its non-participation, I might be interested as I will be out of the country during the $1,000 event. Let me know what is decided.

    Wat? ???

don't have to share winnings with other players; that's what I meant to say.
  • Can you tentatively put me on the list, thanks
  • Man this looks like a tough field.... lol.. put me down as tentative... Should be a real great test.. Whomever comes out of this should easily take the Fallsview event.
  • I would like to play.

Not sure if that's the case for the satellite, but I'll leave it up to the players to decide. I'm good either way.

Should we winner's shares or not?

Sorry about not posting the blind structure yet, but a teenage daughter pretending to do homework while socializing online tends to put my 'puter time at minimum lately. I'll see about doing it if I get a break from the worst part of my job today.
  • I vote for no %'s, you can decide on your own after with chops etc. I'd also say if there are 20 players it should be 2 seats vs $1k, 500, 300, 200, etc...
  • I vote no too, but I would like the winner to play in the event (I mean in case he/she wins said event I can say, I played with them in a satellite and they got lucky there as well...LMAO)

Buddy was going to pick up the one seat ticket on his next casino run, but I don't know about getting a second one until I get 21 confirmations (including rake cost). If we can get 21 players to CONFIRM as well as get an extra seat, I'll ask Buddy to pick up two then.

As far as a percentage, I would rather not myself as well.
  • Better put me down as tentative.

My wife changed the calendar to November last night and saw all my poker related dates then went to Google to do a "divorce" search.

If you were to do the latter, you would have more time for the former.

    just saying
