Now discussing with my buddies, the merits of going down the Saturday before US Thanksgiving and leaving Thursday (Thanksgiving) night. I'm a big football fan so that might add to the overall experience.
Definitely am looking at playing the Wynn and Venetian. Will likely play at Caesars and check out Orleans. The TI Bounty also seems interesting.
Imperial Palace seems walkable to the venues I'm looking at and at the price seems like a no brainer. Hell I've lived most of my life in a stone farm house I think I can survive the IP for a few nights. What's the sports book like at the IP? We will be spending some quality time with football.
Ooooo, just noticed that's the time of the Venetian DSE final. Anyone know of the satty structure? It says they have single table sats every day and 3 super sats that Sunday.

Ask here.. dcarp is one of the poker room suits and regularily posts. Met him a couple of times and he is very personable and helpfull.
See my "Attack of the Satellite Queens" and other reports from my last Venetian trip. The DSE satellites were much better than the WPT Niagara satellites.
Orleans has the best structure for low buyins, esp the Fri night 7 pm tourney. It is out of the way though, you will have to cab it or take the free shuttle from Bill's Gamblin' Hall. The poker room is incredible though. You have to see it.
+ 1, my buddy hit a tourney there last month for $7500, and they did not withhold anything for tax!!!

Definately worth your time to walk across the road to the Caesars sportsbook f you're going to be lounging. (and right beside the poker room).
+1.. plus you can walk a few steps to the Forum Shops and buy the mandatory gift for the wife...:)
+2...

Wow, thanks again Jeff. You're better than Google.
Just read there that Orleans is adding a deep stack HORSE tourney on Sunday nights that sounds sooooo yummy.
