I got my chips but have to go back to them.... I'm short 150 $5 chips. And customs hit me with PST and GST when I picked them up today at the post office.
Exciting new news, the classic Pharoah's chips are to be remade by the Chiproom by the same compression molded process above for the Dunes and Desert Palms chips.
The other thing is www.chiproom.com he is selling the chips cheaper than on the chiptalk.net web site. There isn't a deal to be had by going through chiptalk....
His website: injection molded. Basically nice plastic chips.
Chiptalk: compression molded. World of difference. As close to real clay as you can get. Reread the thread. I've pointed out many times that only through chiptalk can you get the compression molded chips. You are getting at least a 25% discount on the price before he lists the compression molded chips on his website once the injection molded chips are gone.

meh...so I ordered "nice plastic chips". Big deal. Only you will notice Moose.
BTW, when I tried to order from chiptalk he was low on $100s and $25s.
After a brief holdup at the border, the chips have arrived! Unfortunately the greens have no denominations printed on them. I've called their CS line, just waiting to hear back.
Yes, they are "nice plastic" chips, but I like them just the same.
Not true, Johnnie. When I put my upgraded chips into play, several people noticed the difference and, when my ceramics hit the felt, the compliments were universal. These players are not what you would call aficionados, either. Quality shows . . .

Hey Moose,
I saw the Chiptalk Pharaoh thread you were talking about. Do you think these will feel just like real casino Paulsons chips? Price is cheap. Just unsure of actual quality since I never came in contact with them before.
In comparison to your std dice chips, I think you would like them a lot. In comparison to real casino chips I think you would agree that they are different. Where are you? I have a couple samples of the Palms chips.
Mississauga. Too far from Cambridge or I would have driven to meet you. I might just take the jump on these. Paulsons are all above $1/chip and the Pharaoh are still true compression molded clay. Hopefully shipping won't be too bad.
MOOSE
Are you ordering any of these? I could use 200 of the 25 cent chips, I think they would go fine with the ones I ordered last time, only that order I only got from 1.00 up
On chiptalk, they are selling ASM WSOP for $1.35 each. Are the ASM similiar to Paulson? Would ASM be considered casino quality? I just read that the Pharaoh will have a sticker label which I don't know how long it'll last.
On the other hand I don't believe you will have any problems with losing the stickers on the Pharaohs. They are the design of the owner of chiptalk and his babies will be of good quality. He is not trying to unload junk on the public but a good quality low cost alternative to buying Paulsons. He used to license the chips to Paulson for manufacturing but pulled the license this summer as he felt that Paulson was simply getting too expensive.
The 3 main real clay chip manufacturers are BCC, Paulson and ASM. All 3 at times have supplied chips to casinos, though mostly at this time it is Paulson that makes the vast majority of clay chips for casinos. BCC stopped taking orders this summer and is closing its doors. Therefore ASM remains basically the only choice for a custom made clay chip for the home consumer. Paulson sells several home lines of chips and there is the rare exception of custom chips as in the link I posted above. Otherwise to get a custom made chip out of Paulson, you essentially need to have a casino license and put in an order for 100,000 chips minimum.

These are amazing chips...the deal is the solids if you like them.... $.70 per chip is amazing for clay chips with labels...and I'm thinking of getting myself some if anyone wants to chop some shipping.
That's the correct thread....but those are the $1.30 chips, the .70 chips are the same thing without the horseshoe shaped edge spots. Just scroll down the link further and you'll see the solids. All though if you want some of the edge spots ones I can probably order some of those too....let me know.
Actually, the $0.99 Paulson deal seems pretty good. I'm not that picky about the design. Anybody know how much shipping might be to GTA?
Thanks.
the chips are from Apachepokerchips.com....go there and make out a fake order for as many chips as you want and it'll quote you shipping to your address.
Unfortunately the greens have no denominations printed on them. I've called their CS line, just waiting to hear back.
So the customer service rep I talked to said they simply put the wrong chips in the order and the correct chips were out of stock. They said their order for new chips wouldn't be in until at least Nov 15. They offered me a $20 voucher for my next order (and keep the unlabeled chips) or I could wait and we would exchange chips at their expense. I told them I would wait.
Low and behold I received my 150 Green $25 chips (with denominations) on Friday. There was no information in the package for an exchange, where to ship, or a Self Addressed box to return the non-denoms back to them. Just the chips in a Styrofoam chip rack.
I think the warehouse might have just shipped me new chips without consulting their own CS dept. What should I do? Call to get the shipping info or just shut my mouth and hope I got FREE chips?

Moose, PM me when you have a order ready.

Introducing the NEW Pharaoh's Club Clay Poker Chips
Since the Dunes and Desert Palms sold for .32-.39 ea, I expect the Pharaoh's to be .35-.45 ea. Super deal for clay chips.
They will be similar to this, with small changes in colours and mold.
Glad to hear it. Let's see some pics!
I ordered 500 Desert Sands from ChipLonge.com, but I'm still looking for high denomination chips (25K and up), and a funky dealer button.
I'll post pics when they arrive. Look for a home game posting shortly thereafter!
Just saying.

Special Offer "Tournament Poker Chips"
I'm interested in the higher denominations for sure.
I'll take ten 25K, four 100K, two 250K. I'll rarely use them, but they are pretty cool.
Oh and a 2010 Rav4 4WD We'll call you this week.
Thanks.
