    Deleted!

    So Fallsview has been deleted?
  • haddon wrote: »
    Not in some places.

    Lots of places have:
    chip runners
    free buffet
free alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks where the server actually shows up
    $1-3/hour reg player incentives
    BBJP
    HHJP
dealers that care about the number of hands they put out
floor managers that are men and suck it up and do their job...

    It's neat!

If you're leaving, can I have your casino cash?

Yes, go ahead. I've emailed Graham to give it to you.

    Bye all.

You are really leaving after your 1000th post??
  • sigh, ban haddon IMO

i too liked 13cards updates on what is going on at fallsview, now not going to start a fight or anything as i agree with the other side about some of his out there posts, but he do not forget he works for shady olgc and his hands are tied about rules and regulations
  • oh ya btw fallsview needs the degree poker championships or something similar again PLEASE and thank you:)
  • I've been posting on here for 3-4 years. 13 Cards has never really made me laugh or taught me anything other than what casino to not play at. He is basically a spammer for Fallsview. I'm sure if he changed is name to averagejoewhopostsrandomshit and was true to his name he'd be fine. I just cannot stand excuses and arguing coming from a OLGC card room manager on a poker forum.

If you can't stand the heat....

I've been slammed, flamed, burned, dissed, kicked and full on lied about on this forum and I handle it with my balls in the wind. Deal with it.

(Ship the casino cash btw please)

    ++1
  • I think though many did not agree with a lot of the things he said, 13cards was still a very valuable member on this site as he was always available to answer questions about Fallsview. Even though not everyone got along with him, I think it would be bad to see him go.
  • This is place is Hotel California. I've quit so many times.

He'll be back, at least I hope so.
My comments were directed MOSTLY at the content not the character.

I agree with what you said about how he should be careful posting things on the internet as a representative of his employer, but I think he might have taken it the wrong way.

In that case, where is the universal translator when you need him?

OOPS! I guess I really screwed up this time. I apologize for being a TOTAL DONKEY, and will work harder to respect other people's opinions, be it the same or different than mine, and will not turn everything into a flame war.

...Now I remember why I consider this forum largely a waste of time... not totaly though, but largely...
  • I find 13Cards posts to be useful and informative.

Fallsview is pretty much the best/only place around here you can find a regular 5/10+ game. Seneca doesn't run 5/10+ often enough and I hate getting harassed at the boarder.

The biggest problem Fallsview has is there are not enough seats on weekend nights.
    But that's not 13Cards fault.

Ditto. Who's going to give us the scoop on the WPT NAPC tournaments? :(
  • Ask Mel Lastman (Badboy Furniture)...

    +1

I never understood why people gave him such a hard time. All he was doing was reporting policies and procedures. The fact that 99% of us on this board can't stand fallsview doesn't mean we should berate someone who is supplying information.

I am actually no longer playing there because it is just a plain waste of time. I can play in the city in safe private games and not have to deal with all the crap you deal with at fallsview.

Until they have NAPC satellites, I won't be venturing there....
  • Ah yes, the NAPC sats...
  • I finally got to visit Fallsview for the first time since the policy change. My experience was pretty different from the other Friday night trip reports. The room was full when I got there, but I was called for a seat right away.

It was nice to see 13CARDS and many other familiar faces from the WPT frenzy last year. It was great that there was no more counting of all that cash at the beginning of every half-hour session. Unlike last year, I did not see a full table being closed early; dealers were asked to work overtime and the room was still pretty full by the time I cashed out.

There seemed to be a lot more women in the room than normal, with a couple of cute ladies in my table for most of my session, along with a lot of sexy miniskirts walking by the entrance. Many newbies were clueless about getting chips from the cage, including another lady who sat down iwithout the minimum $100 in chips and was asked to go to the cage but unfortunately never came back. All the fish is what makes Fallsview the best area casino to play NL cash games, despite all its warts and imperfections.

    New Policy now in effect.
Cash has been removed from all poker table trays and cash transactions will not be permitted for buy-ins, re-buys or top-ups.
Please buy chips at the cashiers.
    Thank you.
  • This is the first time I've read anything 13cards had posted. Seems like he was just relaying info. I've never been to Fallsview so I can't comment as to whether it sucks or not. As for the 40 or so employees that called in "sick", I feel for him. Anyone who hasn't worked in the service industry should really just shut the hell up. If there are not enough employees, there's literally nothing they can do. It's the same for people coming into my store and we're out of a product because the distributor didn't send it or the manufacturer didn't send any to the distributor. There's literally nothing we can do to get the product. The only thing we can do, which it sounds like Fallsview didn't really bother to, is inform everyone of why things are the way they are. Tell people what happened and the vast majority become much more understanding. The 2% that become douchebags about it, well... that's why there's rooms without cameras :D

For some reason, upper management relays either incomplete information to their floor people, or nothing at all, so floors are compelled to make something up when questioned. Not the correct tack to take, but that's what they do. Players don't understand business practices anyway, because 90% of them come back with "hire more people". Don't get me started on that one...
