Some commentators crack me up with their sayings such as Vince Van Patten but Chad needs to hire a writer man because the guy sounds like a complete idiot to me. Might be a swell person but as a colour commentator, he tanks.
I find poker almost unbearable to watch whenever he's behind the mic.
Well I guess that is the idea. He says stupid things to make people laugh. You either like or dislike that form of humor. I can understand you don't like it, but as that type of humor goes, he is pretty good.
He usually makes me smile and sometimes makes me laugh. He doesn't get on my nerves.

I formally renounce my disdain for Norman. I am on my 21st hour of 2009 WSOP coverage and he has managed to win me over somehow, ex wives jokes and all.

Well Gabe Kaplan is really good but for completelly different reasons. I don't find him funny at all. But his humor doesn't annoy me either. What I do like about him is his insight into the game. Very similar to Mike Sexton's too. The main difference between the two is the format of the shows. HSP shows hands that are played correctly (and sometimes incorrectly). WPT mostly shows all-ins because people are short stack at a final table. So Mike has a lot less to work with to show his knowledge than Kaplan does.
I don't mind Vince Van Patten at all. He is not a pro, he likes poker but is an amateur. So his job is to entertain not to be right. I really miss Shana Hyatt
