Welcome to Edmonton.......what games and where do you play?

    I'd love to do what you're doing......but, I'm a 9-5'er.....planning on driving down May 20th....staying for 3 weeks.

I'd be down for driving down...I'm sort of a 9-5'er right now, i haven't played really here yet, as soon as i got here i just applied for a job and I'm going to build my bankroll up a bit more. I actually went to the casino for the first time here yesterday, I did well...I have money set aside for the WSOP already but I want to build it up more. I was thinking about staying for about 3 weeks too so that would work great.
  • Noticed they have the stacks and structures in now (for the 1st few events anyhow). Event # 5 $1500 PLO....get 1500 in chips, plus 2 tokens for 1500 chips each for use anytime until the 3rd level.

They always done it this way?
  • They are slowing adding all the structures now, here is a link to a $1500 No Limit Holdem Event.
It looks like the starting chips are 3x the buyin and they have added a $75 - $150 and $1200 - $2400 - $300ante from last years events

With the exception of Event 1, which has 6 times the buy-in. However, I already noticed that the blind schedules are different for the $40K, $1500/$1000 & $500 events. It's the usual misleading shell game by the tournament director.
Is compuease volunteering to calculate and post the Patience Factor and Utility Factor for all 57 WSOP events?! ;)
  • here you go

    2009
    For the $1500 WSOP Events
    Patience Factor = 27.94
    Skill Level = 6

    2008
    For the $1500 WSOP EVENTS
    Patience Factor = 14.93
    Skill Level = 6
  • For the $1000 Seniors' World Championship (Event #43):
    Patience Factor = 28.77
    Skill Level = 6

This is a huge improvement over 2008, when the PF was only 10.61 for this event.
