  • Did any forumer play in the BCPC? I noticed a player from Kitchener and a Fallsview cash game player made it to the money.

Daniel Negreanu won the 697-player main event.

Didn't go myself.....failed to win a sattelite on Stars. Had a few buddies that went, but noone did any good. Apparently the field was loaded (at least compared to previous years) with big names...mostly Pokerstars pros I think.

Best tourney out west as far as I can tell.
  • I see the new CPT magazines are out, just picked one up at the local casino. Has tourney listings, decent format.
  • If anybody sees the Canadian Poker Player magazine at the Niagara casinos, please PM me (and save a copy for me if we will see each other). I need an excuse to carpool to the Fallsview Aquarium as I haven't been there since the WPT and I miss playing with the :fish:. Whoever I carpool with can have a free buffet with me at Seneca. Since it is the only casino I know of that withholds taxes on $1 of gambling winnings including satellites, :rage: I want to use up my rewards since I will never play there again.

  • Anybody know if they have this at chapters?

wanna go to point ed for the news years day $100?
  • Thanks, but Point Edward is too far of a drive from me for a $100 buy-in. I will be staying in a motel there on March 25-29 for Blue Water Classic VII, so I may be willing to carpool along the QEW. By the way, tonight I finally won that online satellite that we've been playing.

  • Casino Edmonton (Argyll) having a super sattelite to the Alberta Poker Classic this Sunday the 18th (I think it starts at 3 pm, but don't quote me).

$200 buyin.....if you win, get seats to the $500 & $1500 events next week.
  • T8 -- any omaha tournies up your way?

Sunday Jan 25th at Casino Edmonton (Argyll).....think it's $400 + 40 buy in. Part of the Alberta Poker Classic Series they have going next week.

You can probably preregister at Casino Calgary (16th Ave NE), as they share the same owners.

Let me know if you're coming....I'll be playing the PLO for sure.

I checked a few Chapters locations in the GTA, and they did not have them. I find it odd that the CPT magazine does not even have a website to allow people to subscribe to it.

If anyone can confirm casinos that have the magazine, please post.

    Thanks
  • Brantford has it fo sho

Played the PLO yesterday......60 players, but they were taking 're-entries' until first break (they call it this so they can get full rake on re-buys).

Didn't make the break.....got 40% of my chips in preflop (someone potted, I repotted) with A's double suited, only to be toppled on what I thought was a safe flop of 4 - 5 - J......couldn't beat 558J Rain'fucking'bow.

I was a little tilted on his less that premium holdings, and chose not to re-enter. There were a total of 70 entries.
  • Here's a good tourney in Calgary at the end of the month.....
