2+2 Book Offer Recommendations

  • Received my five excellent books today - 27 days after my deposit/first ($0.25) raked tourney on Everest. Remains a verified great offer from 2+2. :ah:ad

funny, got my $53.65US refund cheque yesterday; five free books and a $3.65US profit to boot. I started to do the pokerroom 100PP offer for another five books but after only making 16 points after a few hours of playing, I pulled out my profit and moved on. I figure its easier to sign up for another five free books on Everest through a different mailing address than going to all the trouble of earning the 100PP.

I got my everest confirmation and I ordered my books today. I picked the following

    Gambling Theory and Other Topics
    Poker Essays, Volume III
Harrington on Cash Games, Vol I
Harrington on Cash Games, Vol II
    The Mathematics of Poker

My books arrived today. I am one very satisfied customer.
  • thanks for the notice. I took 2 harrington books for cash games and 3 othe books i never toticed......
  • for this promotion, i used pokerroom.com

from my understanding all i have to do is DEPOSIT AND PLAY FEW HANDS.

Is this correct, what i do next contact 2+2.
  • In case anybody else is confused, Everest was the easiest way to qualify for the five free books. Qualifying through PokerRoom is a lot harder according to pokerJAH.

By the way, I haven't finished reading any of my five books. I didn't even make it halfway through the Sit and Go Strategy book I traded with pkrfce9 even though I played so many WPT SNGs. :-[ Moshman's new Heads-Up No-Limit Hold 'em book is now included in the program.

  • I liked Moshman's book...but I have found it to be more useful as a guide to find a way to exploit player's play now as I have found quite a few grinders have adapted the strategy in the book.
  • Does anyone have an update for this?

From what I understand, you register at everest, put in the bonus code, create your 2+2 account and wait?
  • It's the same as before. Make sure you follow the instructions on 2+2. I was just on the phone with a forumer choosing his five free books.

I only deposited $50 into PokerRoom and was playing micro limits so if you normally play > $0.50/$1 online, it should take no time to clear. Honestly, if you want to double dip, just have a friend register as well and ship the second set of books to their house. Its a lot less effort if you don't normally play online.
  • Thanks, here another question. I've never played online-money poker sooo I was wondering what happens if you win money? Is there a way to cash it in?

    Thanks

    Thanks

you just request a cheque and they mail it to you; takes a couple weeks to get your money back.

So technically you could fold 5 hands, and get your 50$ back too?

you just have to play one raked hand; in the SB or BB; you can wait for your first BB by folding and get your books. I played a few hands, requested my books and then requested my $53 cheque (since I was up $3).
