  • What'd he get banned for? Someone said he was?

  • Huh, I don't have as much time to surf the forum as I do in the fall and winter.

Can someone give me the coles notes on why Darb got banned again? GTA's underscore is a solid hint, but I want the full story.
  • Not sure about how much in the way of details might be appropriate, or if I even know for sure "why" . . . The other thread (listed as "moved") featured a couple of posts similar in nature to GTA's tag-line. After a couple of posts like that, I inquired if the thread had been Godwinned, and logged off for the night. I am guessing that the ban came about after that, either for what was already posted, or for some response to a request from the powers that be to modify/delete said posts.

As for Darb's continued ability to post hereabouts, his contributions to the strategy threads are always informative, but that CANNOT be used as an excuse for w/e it was that brought down the ban-hammer. I doubt it is a perma-ban . . .

Exactly.....well unless the banning was rediculous, without warning, and without explanation, then of course, being a respected, trustworthy poster should probably account for something
  • If you want an explanation, I am sure one would be forthcoming if you asked. Assuming of course you were not given an explanation already.

ummm. just don't piss Darb off too much. one of the best posters on the site for strategy. we need a dude like that so make it short please.

Next time I need to go deep in a $4 sng I'll try and suck up to whatever individual on this site has the best strategies. Even if I have to burn a cross or two to get his attention.
  • Easy there, big fella . . . by the way, I may need a hand in about 10 minutes with a crappy little $1.00 HU match . . . help a brother out? LOL

In the near future this will be seen as a very very archaic teleporter. Kids from our lifetimes, will look at us and laugh hysterically for this technology.

But ya I saw a thing on this, one use will be if people in space need a part or a tool that might not even be designed or invented, NASA or whomever can design it and beam the design into the printer.
  • Another shooting today at Texas A&M. Only 3 dead....shooter must not have had a very good lathe.
  • Just tell the families of the three dead (and many wounded) that their deaths were for the greater good. So some people can have an inflated sense of self by having the right to proudly carry a device who's sole purpose is to kill. Egos>Life IMO.
  • Hey, in the future can we be sure to update this thread every time there is a shooting? I'm sure some have been missed :D

    and I know Mole...metal lathe...blah blah blah...LOL

Yeah, sorry I wasn't around last week when white supremist douchebag and apparent metal lathe expert, took out 6 Sikhs while they were worshiping at their temple in Wisconsin.

I promise I will stay more on top of it.
  • bump for those that feel the need to discuss . . .
  • Apparently 5 year olds have no need for metal lathes. But of course this 5 year old must be insane, or play too much violent video games or watch too many violent movies. As long as we don't blame the gun...cause guns don't kill people.

The .22-calibre rifle was made by a company that sells guns specifically for children — “My first rifle” is the slogan — in colours such as hot pink and multicolour swirls.
  • Well, that just crushed what little faith I had left in the human race. That is just utterly confounding and depressing.

But weapons manufacturers can make guns for grade schoolers.

    In all seriousness, WTF?
  • Wow. I just read the BBC article about this incident. Here's a little quote to add to the sense of frustration:
In the last three days at least three young boys have shot their sisters in the US, says Daily Kos writer David Waldman, who tracks accidental shootings.

In addition the Sparks case, a five-year-old girl was shot and killed by her eight-year-old brother in western Alaska on Tuesday, while a seven-year-old boy shot his sister, nine, in the leg in Auburn, Washington on Thursday.

Kentucky state lawmaker Robert Damron, a Democrat, said: "Why single out firearms? Why not talk about all the other things that endanger children, too?"

Of course guns should not be marketed to grade schoolers. That would just be and is silly. Very irresponsible parents too. De-evolution is alive and well.
Not really sure the morning after pill being available over the counter to 15 year olds is a very good idea either. It will obviously just reduce the need or desire to use condoms (in the teenyboppers eyes) when they can just pop a candy next day. Watch deadly STD infections rise exponentially as a result. :(

less kids being raised by crappy parents + more idiots dying from deadly STDs = sounds like a win to me.

granted, i think you should have to pass a simple parenting test and provide proof of adequate finances in order to have the right to bear your own children. hence, my opinion may be biased a bit.

The point being US conservatives will work to protect the right of 5 year olds to use a gun, but will also work to prohibit the sale of birth control to 15 year olds. Because of what.....morality? :bs:
  • Kinder Eggs are banned in the US because they contain small toys that are considered too dangerous for children. Guns do not contain such small parts.
