WSOP '08 Predictions
Thought I'd start a thread on who everyone thinks will win the ME this year. I'm going out on a limb with Negreanu to win this year. I also predict that Hellmuth will win bracelet #12 in some event this year. What are your picks?

Don't mind me, just trying to fill out our team's roster. Can I multitable? That has to be +EV for all the other teams.

I predict that Johnny Chan will get #11 before Phil gets #12, and then there will be a massive prop bet between them on who gets to 12 first.
SteveKerr will take the $1500 freezeout event # (?)...and then share his winnings with the rest of Ching Hill...AFTER he buys a two year supply of diapers.
DrTyore will play the PLO event, after which he will bubble and curse his way to the rail, screaming how the game is much too random to be considered REAL poker. He will then go out to the parking lot, and throw his car end over end down the strip.
Brad "Yukon" Booth will make the final table in at least two events, but fail to improve over 4th place.
Daniel Negreanu will again play in the HORSE event, but get knocked out early. He will then assist DrTyore in popping out the dings in his car over a cold beer, and both will compare their lives to each other and how similiar they actually are. Except for the dancing on chairs bit that is.
Chris "Jesus" Ferguson will eventually win the HORSE event. He will then go on a long vacation in Tibet, studying with monks. He will marry an ugly Japanese woman, take up guitar, and do a live re enactment of John Lennon songs for his new career.
$10g's a seat...cash, credit card, or satellite. They let ANYONE play.
I think the question may have been if anybody here was planning to play no matter what, or if they are only playing if they can win a seat...That might just be me though

For the final WSOP event #55, I predict that 13CARDS, jpajamas and I will all finish in the top 1,039.
Unless something drastic happens, 13CARDS & jpajamas leave the torch to you Blondefish, we aren't gonna be there
Poker News - WSOP Champion Jerry Yang Helps Feed the Children
Howard Lederer wins the ME this year.
I think Lederer has a better chance of winning the Limit Hold Em World chamionship. I'm actually interested to see what the fields are like for these new $10,000 buy in events.
He has stated repeatedly and emphatically that Limit Hold em is his best game. He's a big favorite of mine as well, so I always hope that he's successful.
Plus, I think he's cursed in the Main Event, final tabled it the first time he played and hasn't been too close since.

2) Me to win Event #52

Have any Event #52 participants decided on their travel details yet? I am thinking of arriving in Las Vegas on June 29 (after parking at Buffalo Airport?).
