  • I think I know where the extra $5 came from. Brad only gave me .25 for my .50 cent chips.

Yeah thanks Mark. To spell that out for you - you spend months and months lining up, going to store after store in search of the latest video game, give up, finally pony up and buy the thing from 13cards, way over face value, invite your friends over to play with it for the first time and somebody says - "Hey, I hear this thing can play Pong".

My wife said not to discuss the A4 SOOTED hand anymore. However, next time don't try and steal the pot with QJo from the small blind by only raising the pot 8 bucks, giving me over 3:1 on my call, with position. But I didn't say that.

Ranger won the tourney. Some people took home a PILE of cash from the cash game, almost as much as Ranger's $400+ score. My chips got into action (at discount prices). People had fun. I bubbled in my own house for the THIRD time. C'est la vie. 'till next time folks. Thanks for the cookies. Thanks for coming.

I'll put some pics up in a couple days.

Didn't you and Rob have almost the exact same hand, only with you holding the A-rag when we curled at Ayr and Rob ragging on you that it was a donkey call?
  • I don't recall a hand like that...

But I've never denied my donktitude ;) And I doubt the action was the same

    Mark
  • No I had the Arag and he made a great call.
  • I can't tell if I'm being mocked or not.....

    :(

  • Ok here are some shots from the game. Unfortunately I forgot to get some tourney pics.

If you are thinking holy shit there are some massive stacks on that table, well it's somewhat less thanks to someone who shall remain nameless.

The chips are from real casinos. Some of the chips are still live and some are now out of service due to the casino closing. Most of the chips are new/nearly new but the whites were heavily used. They all looked like the chip on the right but I spent about 20 hours scrubbing them clean like the one on the left.

This is the entire set with a current face value of $2150 (except for some person who likes to play with discounted chips). However that person will be much more happy because I have a rack of quarters on their way from Motor City Casino in Detroit, plus 160 more mint $5 Tukwilas, plus a rack of $100s and 20 $500s from Harbor Lights Casino (closed) for a total face value of $22,875. BwaHaHaHa! Maybe then that suckhole Tyson will want to come play. ;) Seriously though the high value chips are going to be more for one table sngs or something.

Ok totaly gratuitous fun shots. Real Paulson casino chips have security features built in to prevent counterfeiting. One of which is fluorescent watermarking.

Who knew it wasn't just for mini-golf and midnight bowling?

Anyways that's the entire collection for now. Yes I am sick and my sickness is chiptalk.net. This is what I spend my poker money on. Hopefully you enjoyed the pics and those who have been to my house have enjoyed the chips. Next time I expect at least 20 on the wait list. ;)
