Good game SirW... tough breaks for both of us, but I managed to get back in it. Did you see me OWN that m/f heads-up? C/r all-in on an AK5 flop with 78o, get him to fold, then show the 78 LOL.
Haha. Poker is fun sometimes.
I'd rather not see you at my regular games (ie: $200, $300, $500 SNG's). If you could go back and play whatever it is that you usually play, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks Wes... I was down to the felt a few times. Called a 6XBB UTG player's all-in raise with AJo, figuring he'd move with a lot of hands in that spot. He had AQ oops. Then running into aces three-handed when I was holding A5o or something on the button... ouch. The usual turbo SNG mayhem--not much play, cross your fingers, hope your opponents don't know how to play the turbo structure.
SirW does (obv.) but it was amazing the mistakes some of these $200 turbo SNG players were making. ie: stealing with J2o from MP when they are so shortstacked they know they're going to be called (or they should know). Similarly, making steal attempts against desperately shortstacked players who are sitting in the BB having to call with any two. Kinda the same mistake... unreal.
I didn't catch the end but good job on the win. I prboably made a mistake folding 44 to your reraise with ATs the one hand, the pot odds were close either way I guess depending how wide i think your range is but it was probably a call. I didn't get many good chances to push for a while so I ended up a lot shorter than I normally let myself get before my bustout hand. My usual game other then MTTs is 3/6 NL 6-max, but there's a lot more tough decisions in those games so if I'm not feeling quite on the top of my game but want a few more tables while I'm still in a few MTTs or something, then I go with the turbo SNGs, since a lot of the play is pretty mechanical. You won't see me around too often but I'll pop in from time to time.
I"m playing a 90 person SNG on Full Tilt... just a $5, but we're down to 19 players, I'm 5th in chips.. railbird if you'd like, and my MSN is drunkennewf@rogers.com for a play by play...

tournament 11692836, table 3
EDIT: 2nd in chips with 28k, 17 left
EDIT: AK no good against K9 / 10 10 - down to 13k, 9/16
EDIT: Ahah! Never slowplay KK - my flopped set of 10's put be back to 32k and 2nd in chips
EDIT: Final Table.. 3rd in chips with just over 30k
EDIT: Oops.. what's that about not dancing with chip lead? Well, some shorter dude pushes in, I repush to isolate, and get called by big stack with AQ for you know, like 95% of his chips. My 10 10 is no good against AQ / K4
I get JJ preflop. I bet the pot. Two guys call, not sure of position right now.
Flop comes up 3-8-9 rainbow.
I bet the pot. One guy folds, the other dumbass calls.
Turn is a 2.
I'm suspiscious of running into 2 pair here since I was called, but I decide that he's just an idiot who's drawing for a straight at best. I bet the pot again, which is a VERY huge bet by now. Dumbass calls.
River is a K.
I curse and check to dumbass.
Dumbass makes a reasonably large bet, but the pot HUGE and I have to call.
HE HOLDS K-6 OFF.
And I'm still playing in that very same game... as of the time I write this, I've just about won enough chips back to cover that loss...
Playing the same type of game again... just folded 77 when met with a raise and a reraise before the flop. Which I'm sure was, technically, the absolute right thing to do, but when I see the flop come up 7-2-7, I die a little inside. :-\

Update: Coles AJ lost to the legend for half his stack. Now 24th of 31 left. Hang in there!
