PokerBox - Keep track of your live session
Hey guys,
I need some help. I'm developing a site for live poker players who want to keep track of their games. I need some beta testers, who would be willing to use the service and provide feedback and give me suggestions for new features.
Just to clarify, this is for live poker, not online poker.
If you're interested, could you please visit: http://www.naverniouk.com/design/poker/
And sign up there for free.
Thanks a lot. Feel free to leave comments here, or in the website's contact page.

A way to reset the password would be nice
I swear I put in what I tried login and password, it didn't allow me in and I can't reset it
I fixed the problem which would not let you login (I believe). I will add the ability to reset your password right soon.
I've just added a "Forgot Password" feature. If you have any problems logging in, you can reset your password there. Hopefully this will resolve all future login problems.
I requested the password reset about 3 hours ago, still no email

It seems to just place dots on it that represent each session's +/-, and then connects them with a line. However, it doesn't seem to be cumulatively adding it up, as traditional "pokertracking" graphs should.....
As I said, this is just a VERY early thing, but if I'm right, it would result in a graph that simply hovers around the $0 line.

A better URL would kick ass

You must have used the wrong email when registering in the beginning. What is your account? I'll reset it manually.
I'll add a feature which will allow you to adjust the limits to whatever you want. For now, I've added a .25/.25 option just for you.
The graph is currently just a place holder. I'm currently working on letting users generate their own graphs based on what they want to know. This will be released in a future version once all current bugs are fixed.
A new url? If enough people register and end up using the service, I'll register a new domain. For now I'm sure it's not too hard to bookmark the site.
Thanks for your suggestions.
my login should be Zunni (are the logins case-sensitive?)
Yes, usernames and passwords are case-sensitive. The account was registered with the email: gamespy(at)fc.gedsb.net
I have deleted the account. Please re-register.
Thank you sir.. will do
Looks great and will definitely be helpful for me and others, particularly for casino live games, or other games that aren't as low as my fam-jams!
Thanks for the kind words.
If you are still reading this thread, I'd really like the flexibility to put in just a +/- value for final results instead of having starting stack, ending stack..
Perhaps make it a user preference.
Another issue, why can't I enter a date/time when adding a session?
Also if you knew what session number you were on as you were adding it, it would help those people who have a log already and are transfering data to your system.
It would also be handy if you could remember drop-downs that have been entered a few times before. Changing to Limit and setting the Limit over and over again is a bit tedious
Thanks a lot for the suggestions. I'm afraid that entering limits in the form "+/-" might be confusing, unless clear instructions are given. And currently having separate boxes for 'lo' and 'hi' seems like the clearest form. But I'll look into this further.
Adding a custom date to a session is a bug which must have come about from the last update. I'll get this fixed immediately.
I'll add a session number to the "Add a New Session" page in the next release.
Most browsers should already remember your drop-downs, but this is a feature I'll be working on a little later, as I need people to have more sessions added to their profiles so that I can successfully test the automatic selection of the most popular dropdown option.
Again, thanks a lot for your input. I really appreciate it.
I just figured you'd have in a preferences area a radio button choice for "Method to enter wins/losses" "starting/ending stack sizes for the session" or "Final +/- tally for the session" (bad language but you get the gist)
Then depending on which one was selected either a) open a new form with the selected info or b)build the form on the fly (probably the better choice)
One other minor thing, I'd love to see some more reports, I don't have a tonne of data in for me yet but I'm going to use your app to supplement my session logs because it can handle the math for me.
Instead of putting that I started with $60 and ended at $101, I simply record my result as +41. Actually never mind this suggestion. I just thought about it and realized I could simply put my starting stack as 0 and my finish stack as $41 to achieve the same result.
Because I'm new to your site, and in my log I only record if I'm up or down, not what I bought in for. So I have no idea what I bought in for 5 months ago. Your site doesn't allow me to simply say "+$56" or "-$80", so a compromise would be to allow me to enter 0 for the starting and 56 for the ending or 80 for the starting and 0 for the ending to reflect the above values.
In one of your original posts you said this was for live sessions only; is there really any major change to use this for online sessions as well, perhaps just adding the "online" option under session type?
Anyways I'll be testing it out, looks great so far, and great job with the quick updates, and fixes for people's issues so far.
Oh, and one more thing, if you wanted a more user friendly URL (until you can afford the domain name) there are free URL forwarding sites, that could give you a shorter one. I used to use a site called www.cjb.net, which gave me the "www.mysite.cjb.net" url for free. I'm not sure if they still do this, but there are some others out there still, probably.
