I had 1 losing session so far of -60 but I know I'm pretty much due.
You're either running incredibly hot or are forgetting a few losses, although as previously stated, the whole concept of "session wins" is useless. Ie if you win $1 59 times and the session you lose you drop $2K then maybe having like a 98% "Session" win % isn't that impressive eh?

I'm guessing you should forcast numerous consecutive losing sessions.
Moral of the story (as always) is think long-term.

Thanks for the tip! I included only 2/5 games live at the casino, I haven't included my many home game losses, but instead just included this last attempt to build a bankroll (because this time I've been tracking). I don't calculate my session wins vs. money won, I just keep track of how each session went.
I also understand that I'm running warm and should be due a losing session soon (perhaps tonight?), I only think long term.
EDIT** As I mentioned yesterday, I'm still limited in my visits so my total hours is only 34
My current +/- rate is approx 300 (give or take 5 or 6 bucks). Approx. $8.50 an hour. I had 1 losing session so far of -60 but I know I'm pretty much due.
I also know I need a larger sample size but this is what I've got at present.
With only 34 hours that means you've played about 1000 hands. Your sample size is far too small at this point to conclude much. Still being up 60 big blind is a good thing.
My suggestion: Play 2/5 and take shots at 5/10. Try putting yourself on the 5/10 list and playing for a couple of hours and see how it goes. Drop back to 2/5 if you lose $150.

My projected downswing happened, and happened quickly last night. I only sat for 2 1/2 hours but lost $60. I played tight (as usual), but AK AQ (X2) 9Th, J9d, A2d all failed me. I couldn't get a flop to fall for me. I folded as required, I didn't chase.
I also recognize I probably wasn't in the right frame of mind to play, was tired and started late. I've noticed, softer games during the day, more gambool but also good players in the evening. So I learned something last night, I just paid for the lesson

J9 and A2 is tight??? I guess you were playing those in late position with no raise?
actually yes to both counts.. The entire table was tight, so in both those cases, late position and few players..
Tight play on a tight table = -ev
You either should have changed tables or loosened up and started stealing, making big extra value bets and chasing some big pots. Sounds like some boring poker!

To be honest, I made the classic mistake of sitting when I should never even have went, I normally pick better spots but wanted to play so badly that I ignored the voice in my head. (no not that one that says "KILL KILL", that one I listen to )
I've documented it in my log so I'll be able to learn from it in the future. So bad session.
As for my 5/10 vs. 2/5 discussion, I should have a 'gift' of $2500 coming to me soon so I'll 'borrow' $600 or so to give 5/10 an honest try.

Yeah, sometimes they fold.

You understand that's a contradiction, right?
How so? I know that my long term numbers are high over the hours played, and expect that there will be a downward correction shortly..

The biggest win sessions of my life come from ridiculously tight tables.
Just become betty freddy on every street. They'll fold enough for profit to flow.
Betty Freddy...I like that one...I use Charlie Chase but never had one for someone who doesn't stop betting ever.
HAHAHAHA....
