I had 23,700 chips at the end of the 25/50 level. The following hand happened after 8 PM.
Player to my right, who seems to be an online star and was being photographed earlier and asked for his chip count, raises three times the big blind. I wake up with
:kh :kd
I reraise three times his bet. He reraises all in with
:ac :ks
I make the correct call. Flop is harmless. One player mentioned that he folded an ace so the online pro is dead to two aces. I have more than 90% chance of doubling up. Just like at the Ultimate Poker Challenge final four when I was an over 80% favourite of winning with my pocket kings and getting 4/5 of the chips in play, you know what happens next.... IGHN.
So he raises to 150 you reraise to 450 he shoves and you call off over 23000? I just wonder, if you think you have a skill advantage because of all the sattellite entrants if you can let that go there with that stack? despite the math of the hand?
It looks like Sir Watts pretty much tripled up at one point. I wonder what the hand was.

I know the feeling Buddy; at least you got your chips in way ahead and just ran into some bad luck. There's always 2008 or Seneca tomorrow

I think you got the chip count and blind level wrong. He was saying he had 23,700 at the 1st level 25-50 (probably his highest). At 8pm, it would have been around level 5 and he was possibly below average or short stack.

8pm would not be the 25/50 level..probably 150/300 or 200/400 with an ante..
And I don't think I can pass up at 70-30 adv. in a tournament to double up no matter how bad some of the players are...

Right. Just assumed the blinds and stack posted were for the hand posted. So it's a hypothetical situation anyway. But I'm not sure how you know you're 70-30 pf against a guy representing Aces, when you haven't seen his hole cards.................

Well, I am still in......... sort of. Sitting with 13600. Took some ugly beats towards the end of the day. My high chips for the day was 34K at the diner break. 6 hours of tough poker followed.

Welcome to push or fold poker!
I'm at work checking the cardplayer updates regularly on my blackberry. I wish they'd focus on you guys, but oh well.
I heard from Azim (regular in the underground poker scene). He survived his day one yesterday and moves on tomorrow. He is shortstacked tho at 18K.
He is playing the Seneca event today. What an addict LOL.
