Seneca trip report (long)

  • To those who have played at Seneca, can you confirm the rake structure for 2/5 and 5/5: $3 for the flop no matter how small the pot is, $1 for the bad beat jackpot regardless of the pot, then $1 extra if the pot reaches $40, and a final $1 if the pot reaches $50? When Casino Niagara has 2/5, is it $2 on the flop, 10% and maximum $5? Does any other area casino besides Fallsview do 5/5?

If any clubs have a better rake structure, please PM me the information. Once I know the correct rakes, I'll do a detailed rake analysis (without posting the clubs' names).

I believe Seneca's rake on 2/5 or 5/5 NL is the same as it is on 1/2 NL. Rama's rake on 2/5 NL ($500 buy-in) is 10%, $5 max with $2 on the flop. Fallsview 5/5 NL is $6/30 mins. It'd be nice if someone can run those numbers.

One thing to note, which can not be quantified, a lot of the dealers at Seneca will not take any rake if the pot is small (i.e a couple players call pre-flop and it is check down, etc.). They realize that 75% rake in some cases is excessive and will give the entire pot to the winner. This is not the same for all the dealers. More applicable to the dealers that have been around for a while.
