Drove up early so I could get into the 1st one then beat traffic home.
First level (25/50) Starting Stacks 2500
Hand 1... QQ in the cutoff and with 1 limper I made it 225 to go and took it down preflop with the raise.
Hand 2... Limped with 10 10 utg.. folded around to blinds which call. Flop A 10 3 rainbow.. blinds check I bet 125 and they both fold. (probably could have given them a free card).
Level 2 (50/100) My Stack 2900
Hand 3... UTG raised to 250 and its folded around to SB who calls and me (63 clubs) and I decide to see a flop. Flop 2 4 5 rainbow.. small blind bets out 500 and I figure he has some type of hand and will bet the turn so I decide to just flat call, the original raiser makes it 1500 and still has about 800 left, the small blind (Mitch for those that play at fallsview) moves allin for his last 1800 and I move in putting the UTG player allin. SB has A3 diamonds for the small straight and UTG has 55 for top set, turn and river were J Q and I busted 2 players.
Hand 4... I raise from the cutoff with KK to 350 and small blind calls, flop is J 7 6 with 2 spades, he checks I bet 550 and he moves allin for 1525 total, no real read on him but my gut said he was on a flush draw, I called and he tabled A Q spades .. the turn was a red 3 but a spade hit the river.
Level 3 (100/200) My stack 5800
Hand 5... we are 1 bust out away from final table, I get AK diamonds on the button, its folded around to me and I make it 550 to go, small blind moves allin for 1600 total, bb folds and I call hoping to see a weaker Ace, small blind tables pocket 3's .. flop is A 8 8.. Turn and River brick out and we're on to final table.
Final Table ..
Blinds (100/200 25 Ante)
No hands of note for me, 3 players bust and we are 7 handed.
Level 5 (150/300 50 ante)
Hand 6 ... Player in mid-position raises to 1400 and folded around to me in small blind, I reraise to 4000 with AK clubs and he calls off his remaining 2100 and tables AQ off, flop is Jack high (can't recall 2 other cards) Turn QUEEN river blank and I bleed off 4000 and have about 4200 left. We lose 2 more players during that level and are 5 handed.
Level 6 (200/400 75 ante)
Hand 7... table is playing real tight at this point so I have picked up a couple of antes and blinds with raises preflop. Dealt J 10 spades in cutoff and make it 1500 to go, button tanks and then flatcalls and blinds fold. Flop is 9 8 3 with 2 spades, figuring that he has been fairly tight aggressive to this point I decide that I am going to check and hope to see a free card but ready to checkraise allin if he bets allowing me a chance to take it down here unless he has a hand. I check and he bets out 1700 into an almost 4000 pot so I move allin for 6700 total which he just has covered. He tanks and eventually calls and tables QQ.. turn and river bricked out and I finish 5th.
Please give info on how long the wait was. The last 2 weekends I've been at Rama, I had to wait over 3 hrs to get on a 2/5 NL table. Before it used to only be like 1.5 hrs on a weekend, I think maybe even more people are going to casinos now due to the recent stuff with the clubs.

Specifically info on 5/5 NL is appreciated.
Weekend waits at NFCR are and will continue to be very long. Friday night we had three 1-2 NL tables with a list that maxed out at 85 people. 2-5 NL list was just as long with only two tables running. 5-5 NL was a reasonable wait of just over one hour with a maximum of five tables running. The lists for 5-10NL, 10-20NL and 10-25NL were short but moved very slowly as usual (those players do not get up and leave easily!).
Wow. I forgot how crazy Fallsview can be on a Saturday night. I should have known better. Got there around 7:00 and was 41 on the wait list for 2/5 nl. I was up to fifth when I left 3 hours latter.
Figured I'd see if I could get on a little run at black jack and cover half my entry and try a sattellite. Didn't happen.

Thanks for the info, sounds quite reasonable for 5/5 NL.
I apologize for starting this thread and then meeting up with exactly no one.
Got into town around dinner and immediately checked in to the hotel. Stayed at the Oakes and we rolled over to the Casino so I could put my name on the list before going to supper. As it was said earlier, the list for 1-2 and 2-5 was 8 miles long. I didn’t even bother going on the list so I just called Niagara and went on the list there.
Dined and drove to Niagara where I was seated within 5 minutes.
Nothing playable for the first hour and I just folded, folded, and folded. The table was ridiculously passive. Most pots were unraised pre-flop and I did not see a single re-raise for maybe 3 hours.
Not many interesting hands really but here are a few that I remember:
Hand 1
Check my option from BB after 6 limpers with Qhjd.
Flop Qs Qd 4h rainbow. Checks around.
Turn As opening both a backdoor flush and straight draw.
SB Checks and I bet $10, folds to hi-jack who min re-raises to $20. Folds back to me and I take a minute or so to make a decision and then make the call.
River is a 2c and I check.
Villian pushes his last $50 and I beat him into the pot. His Q7o is no good.
Hand 2
New player on my right opens to $10 from mid-position. He is deep after flopping quad 9’s and getting paid and then getting all-in 3 ways with KK and holding up all within his first orbit.
I call 8d 9d. Heads up to the flop.
Flop 6d 7d 10c
He checks and I bet $5 hoping he will call with over cards or check-raise an overpair. He folds instead and claimed AQ. I guess I should have given him a chance to catch-up.
Won a race against a short stack (he had $50ish) with AK spades over QQ when we got AI pre-flop and I flopped the nut flush
The rest of the night was a blur of small pots, which is pretty much expected at such a weak tight table.
Finished up $200 exactly.
Sorry I missed you Wes and all of the others who were there too.
We need to do a Saturday forum trip sometime soon.
gonna try a 640 tommorow and depending how I do, a 1200 on Saturday. What do you look like, have you played a Westside tourney before? gonna be with some buddies and check out the downers as well.

I should be up there around 1pm or so, will probably play some 5/5 before the 1st 640 starts which should be around 230ish. I will have an Blue ITALIA soccer jacket on, shaved head and glasses... easy to spot. lol... see you there if you make it down.
13Cards/Fallsview, if you guys spot a tanned asian dude with a white Under Armour hat..that would be me.
Same with anyone from the forum, a beer is on me if you come and say hi
I am thinking of heading up to Niagara on Friday. Probably mid morning until early evening.
A few questions directed at anyone who can provide an informed answer...Can I expect any games running that early on a friday? Where is better to go at that time of day, Fallview or Niagara? If you take a bad beat at a play money table did it really happen?
Caddy
P.S. Is there anyone between:
St. Thomas, ON
Niagara Falls, ON who would like to go?
I'll be down Friday night till Sunday for some 5/5.
I was there all last week...during peak hours (6pm-3am) there were 2-3 tables of 1/2 and 2/5 NL, 3-4 tables of 5/5 NL, a table of 5/10 and 10/20 NL, a few limit tables, and a couple of satellite ones. Noticed quite a few regulars every night.
There was a regular guy at my table with a "Dead Money" hat...not sure if it's the same Dead Money on the forum? Forgot to ask him.

How did it go?
Good luck sir.
I didn't make it...moving is taking forever! I think I'm going to try to get up there this weekend.

Care to leave a name?
I like to meet people in person and stay "incognito" online.
If it was you, will you be back to NFCR in the near future?
