Gold played as bad as anyone possibly could play this episode, why sammy let him off that first hand is beyond me. As soon as Gold checks the river Sammy has to know he's good, although I am pretty sure he already knew he was, SCREW being nice.. just jam another 180K in there and let Gold rebuy. If that wasn't bad enough he then pays off Guy later on with a pair of nines (queen kicker) lol.. No wonder they want him to hang around.
IMO yesterday's "hand" was just silly. Made it look like high stakes gamblers and not high stakes poker. Gold was actually earning some respect for the way he had been playing, but last night he was just awful. Barry G did not look too good as well.
I have to admit that I was flipping between High Stakes Poker and Dancing with the Stars (how is Marie Osmond in the finals ??? ) on Monday night, so I didn't see the whole episode. However I found that the hands between Jamie and Sammy unbelievably annoying. How did Sammy not push in the first hand? Somebody needed to shut Jamie up. It looked like they were scared to lose money. This is not what I expected from High Stakes.
The Gold/Farha hand was strange. Gold is clearly out of his league but seems to enjoy the high stakes gambling. Farha is probably playing above his roll. Outside of Doyle, Guy and Patrik, the rest don't seem very comfortable - too much scared money. And Doyle hasn't been that impressive up to this point.
It is interesting to note the difference between the game at these stakes and the game at lower stakes. Seems to be much less screwing around with garbage (outside of Gold). Almost 'proper' poker. LOL highstakeaments.
