OK, I'll bite. While (generally) you shouldn't be semibluffing as much (because the bluffing aspect won't work), you CAN raise your biggish draws (or even just your OK draws) straight up for value. In position this tends to work even better since you may get a free turn card, and once the LP has called one bet they'll call one (or 3) more usually. Of course this will generally help your ultra tight image as well (for the rare person that notices such a thing).

Excellent points, Raise your big draws.

On the flop you should definitely raise for value with your big draws (13+ out hands) like flush draw with two overcards or a flush draw with a gutshot or an open ended straight draw with a back door flush and two overcards.
  • I'll be there at some point.

Got my VIP package mailed to me.

I think I went twice last year and was up 300-400.

Hopefully I'll be able to find enough time to put in good sessions.

    <3 donk central ! :D
  • Hey, I'm new to the site here and live in Toronto. Few questions I wanted to ask everyone:

How many tables are there at the CNE Casino? Are the players generally loosey-goosey or otherwise? This might seem like a dumb question but during the Ex, do you have to pay to get into the grounds just to go to the casino?

I've been thinking about going just to check it out - never been to the casino there before so I have no idea what to expect. Any other pointers/information would greatly help.

    Thanks...please forgive my ignorance.
  • I believe 18 tables...as loose passive of a game as you can find...
When you go, sit down and ask for a VIP card, play for 3 hours, and you can free parking and unlimited entry to The Ex for the duration.
  • I played 10/20 for 3 hours last night and doubled up. At one point there were three players with over 1,000 in front of them, and a few more with between 400 and 800. Lots of money to be won. I recommend this game to anyone. Sure, you might get sucked out on a few times, but unless you are playing huge limits, that stuff happens everywhere. Some of the worst play is 5/5 NL at Fallsview.

Nobody should be afraid of this game.
  • wanted to play but was long list, mostly ppl waiting to get one from 5/10 so it looked like there was no line up but the list was long, went at Thurs 7pm after work, anyone recommend good times to go?

Is that a lot for this game? I mean, I can't imagine buying in for anything less than like $800 in a game that wild (with several hundred more to reload with). But of course live I guess you get half the table that buys in for the min like 5x each...damn, I miss playing live. :)
  • $400 should be enough
