    Wondering the same question. I would hope 5k since every $100 in the rebuy one equals 1K in chips.

    If it is 5k starting chips, with relation to the blind structure...should be a better tourney...any thoughts blondefish?
  • So far I am as confused as you, so I will wait for the answers about the starting chips, format, rebuy and add-on rules, etc. before doing the analysis if it is worth going to any of these tournaments.

  • Any forumer playing in tomorrow morning's CPT tournament at Great Blue Heron Casino? I tried to register for the second day on December 12, but there are only 43 players registered so far, so it will probably only run on December 11.

    The satellites ended last Thursday. You can no longer purchase a seat by credit card, so it's a good thing I haven't deposited my recent poker winnings or I would have been restricted by the $1K maximum withdrawal from my virtual bank account.

    For inquiring members, below is my analysis of the December tournament.
    Patience Factor = 12.1
    Skill Level = 6
    Rake = 4.8%.

    I hate the 385% jump in the CPR from Level 2 to 3, but the Patience Factor is almost as good as Casino Brantford's 14.2 for the same $2,100 cost. This tournament is worth playing for those who have the bankroll.
