Ok but does the withdrawal have to come all the way back to your bank account or can you just transfer from one poker site to another via moneybookers?

You withdrawl back to moneybookers then deposit to another site just like you did with neteller.

How did you get money into Moneybookers online? It look like you have to go down to the bank every time to wire money to Frankfurt?
  • Since I have no need to fund poker sites from my bank account, or any personal funds at all, can I create a Moneybookers account and then fund it from excess on poker sites? Or do I have to initially deposit money to get it going? At future times I will need to withdraw from Moneybookers to my bank account.

I'm in the same boat Jeff, I transfered all my online poker money into a new chequing account I opened at my bank just to keep all funds seperate. I don;t want to mix fun money with my day to day account. I don't mind leaving my entire bankroll online as long as I can transfer into my bank account to use my winnings when I want. I just need to be able to shuffle money back and forth from site to site so I can binus whore like the whoring MF I am. All the sites I'm on use Moneybookers but I can't see a way to transfer from my poker chequing account to bookers on-line? The only way I can see is to physically go to my branch and do a bank wire to some Frankfurt bank account which freaks me out and seems f-ing stupid?
  • Does anyone us Click2pay as it sounds like neteller but i don't see anyone recommending it. Is it crap or just no one really uses it. Im looking for an alternative to neteller.
  • I'm testing it now as I need it for my crypto reloads. CAD funds only but supposdly you don't lose out on the exchange rate. Also supposdly I can fund it directly from my Absolute account without having to deposit into it first, trying that out now. Initial funding requires a wire transfer if you don't want to use a credit card.
  • Stupid f-ing government, looks like on-line poker is done for me...for the sites I play Moneybookers is my only option for depositing and I just got feedback from my back as to the fees to transfer to moneybookers:

There is a commission of .15% of the amount transferred, minimum $15.00 to
a maximum of $100.00 for each transfer. In addition, there is the
telegraphic charge. For funds wired to Europe it is $12.25.

$27.25 min per transaction...not counting any fees moneybookers may or may not add....f-that!
  • I think you fund the account by withdrawing the cash from one poker site and then you can send it to any other site. If someone can confirm that and pm me - I will give a referral because I am about to sign up with them.

Yes, I believe you can do this, however I cashed out all my sites when neteller went down and put everything in a poker chequing account at my bank with the intent of funding whatever process turned out to be best when the smoke cleared so now I'm stuck with my entire bankroll in my bank and no way to get it to the sites? I know it's only $25 and since starting I have never had to transfer from my bank to any poker site more then my initial deposit...I do however transfer from poker into my bank account to spend my winning regularly and I'm not taking a $25 hit every time.

Has anyone transfered from a Scotia visa to a poker site....I know a lot of Cdn banks will not allow visa transfers to poker sites either.....I think the end of on-line poker in Canada is near and I'll listen to the writing on the wall and just say f-it....it was very good well it lasted.
  • Click 2 Pay is good for the sites that use it, mainly the Cryptologic ones (and a few other casinos I do).

You have to do a deposit by click 2 pay to the poker room first before using it as a means of withdrawal. Do as few deposits this way as it will draw it from your credit card (unless you fund your click 2 pay account with your credit card first at a 3% fee).

When it takes it from your credit card that the click t2 pay account is based on it will do two currency conversions - Euros to US dollars and then US dollars to Canadian dollars.

I know this is a bit confusing, but the best approach is to do a single $100 deposit to say Intercasino, take the hit (which will be about $5-8 extra). Clear the bonus then withdraw it back to your click 2 pay as there really is no exchange rate fees when it moves from click to and from a poker room (though there is the $1 Crypto withdraw fee).

If you then deposit to another Crypto room and have enough in your click 2 pay account that will cover the deposit so you avoid the wacky credit card exchange and advance charges again.

For withdrawing I just plan on getting a US check from the poker room like Interpoker, though it seems click2 pay now does Cdn $ checks (but I would really confirm first).

Keep in mind that CLick 2 pay is basically a small German neteller like company that in no way expected a flood of Canadians to suddenly apply, so they likely will eventually adapat to better handle us, but for now it certainly is a bit clunky vs the ease that was Neteller.
  • fyi you can withdraw to your c2p (or probably any other wallet) without having to deposit first for these sites:

Absolute, Mansion, and most likely UB.
  • I signed up with MB this week and gave Hobbes a referral. I didn't see a way to upload directly from a poker site so I took the small hit and uploaded $100 via credit card. I deposited $50 to UB and will withdraw a bigger chunk to pad my ewallet.

Apparently Sun Poker now has a monthly no deposit bonus, but the clearing rates are higher than the regular deposit bonus. I'm looking to start a C2P account for Crypto. Anybody know if there is a referral at C2P? I don't see a referral on the site but if anyone has one I will gladly give you the free referral.
  • I don't think c2p has referrals. I like the new Sun $200 bonus :) Still waiting on interpokers email, though I guess I can just check their site.
  • From Adam at Sun Poker:

"Thanks for the email. We are having some minor technical problems at the moment with the bonus codes but these will be corrected very shortly. Also, moneybookers will be added shortly I highly recommend them for Canadians, in the meantime Click2Pay is available."
  • Thanks for the referal Quimby.

If anyone else is openning a Moneybookers account, I'd be happy if you used my referal id.
Just PM me for a referal code

I was able to withdraw from Supreme into moneybookers without first making a deposit.
  • I've just been reviewing the moneybookers website. If things are as they seem it looks like a comparable service to Neteller as far as depositing and withdrawing....not sure what the fee structure is yet but I haven't finished digging.

Has anyone using this service encountered any major problems with depositing to pokersites or withdrawing fund from sites to mb, or from mb to their bank or credit card?
  • Have not had a problem yet with moneybookers.
It's about $5 to wd from MB via cheque.

  • Great link....nice having the basics summed up like that. Thanks for posting that.
  • After failing with moneybookers I moved on to click2pay.
Im through most of the steps and onto the vital one.
Cashing out from click2pay via cheque.
Today i got the cheque from Germany and expected it to already be in Canadian dollars as that's the balance they use for Canadian accounts.
The cheque was in Euros, and i am having trouble with the bank.
They think i got scammed and the cheque is not real.
I have the option to assume the cheque is fine and will clear, I will incur a 30 buck fee for my bank to send off the cheque for clearing however.
Is the cheque real? Does anyone know if this works yet?
The cheque says ORDER CHEQUE up the side, but other than that looks real to me, and has an authentic ink signature.

    Any help would be great.

Not sure what you mean by failing with MB???

    Kev

I was about to try a cashout from Click2Pay, but might try another method now.

For next time, what about transferring the money you want to withdraw back into a site that has no cheque charges and issues in USD or CAD, and then withdrawing from there?
  • That is what I do, I'm not using my ewallets for my withdrawals. ecashdirect sends cheques out very fast. Party has direct withdrawal to your bank account. Still waiting on Paradise to bank account withdrawal, almost been a week now.
  • Thanks...I'll try ecash next time!
  • Does Party Poker allow you to withdraw to your bank account? (I've never been on Party so that seems kinda odd to me)
  • There are a lot of alternatives to Neteller but I think that it really depends on what country you are from because some alternatives are only availble to certiain people. One of my favorites has to be cash card......it works on mostly all of the sites that I play on (Pokerroom, Full Contact, Stars)
  • Thanks for all the help.
I definitely learnt not to withdraw from these clowns at c2p again.
I think I will withdraw from pokerstars via cheques, as I hear they ship you CDN$ cheques.
I have also had success withdrawing from sunpoker via cheque and I will use it anytime i need funds for my US$ account at the bank, since they send cheques in US funds.
Click2Pay i will use to move money, shit pokerstars doesn't link them yet, once that happens I'll be completely re-sorted.

    Thanks for helping.

  • Received an email from Tiger Gaming today saying that Neteller is available to Canadians again.

Need to look into this further
