  • wow i did poorly....i prefer not to disclose my results.
hopefully this doesnt show in my poker games. LOL.
  • this test is awsome. just takes so long im only on question ten and there is 50 questions.

i'll finish when i get back and i'll post my results.
  • i passed. i'm now a complete donkey!
  • i decided to finish this. i kinda rushed through it but thats no excuse.

i got a poker IQ of 90 which im guessing isnt good at all.

ill take the test in a couple of months when i forget the questions and hopefully i do better:)
  • This has been posted on 2+2 a bunch of times and the general agreement is that a lot of the questons are pretty dumb. fwiw I scored 138, but I took my time which cost me some points I guess. Also, my worst section was the tournament questions. Right....
  • Ill take it when I have enough time on my hands, looks cool
  • Beat my 97 suckers.
  • i got 97 not very good
  • I lost patience trying to wrap my head around the 3rd question. LOL... yeah, that's why I don't play online poker.

    /g2
  • I got 98 on the test.
  • Any of you sharp guys like Sir Watts,BBZ,Special K... extremely bored by chance?

I'm a limit guy and do well at it. I think my limit tendencies may be reflected here. I've been doing a ton of reading and putting a lot of work lately into improving my no limit game.

Is there anything you think I can learn from this test result? cheers!

  • How long does the donkey test take? I want to take the test when I have enough time without having to leave midway.

  • Woot, I beat BBC I got 98.....
  • I got a 99...not sure if that's good or bad...anyone know what the max is?
  • 98 and judging by their analysis the only strong part of my game is my play with small to mid pairs.
  • I got 109.

    But my variance was huge.

Apparently I suck at playing the Blinds and Big Pairs (which I already knew :0 and Al taught me last night! When I had AA in SB - I learned to play poorly in the blinds and lose money with a big pair.) My tournament play and pot odds werent great either (although I feel I know a bit more about this)

However, Adjusting the flop texture I was better than 90% of respondents. Better than 92% of respondents at playing position.

And my best was Small Pairs better than 99.44% - You know that is the exact same percentage as Ivory is pure! Nice coincidence.
  • I got 108.
  • i got 103 and 96% of computational speed LOL
  • Wow I thought I would be killed when I compared my score to the forum members but I am 111. Lagging only SirWatts so far, I am pretty pleased.

I wasn't concentrating well so I was slow, only beating 3.1% lol.

My results were very similar to Tnorth. No wonder we keep butting heads at Bristol.

Better than 44% only for BB and BP.

My best was pot odds, flop texture, tournaments and position - 91.92%, and small and med pairs - 94.52% for that one, not quite up to Tnorth though.
  • i completely forgot taht i had posted this yesterday, i ended up scoring 122... my lowest score was in the "computational speed" the test took me about 40-45 minutes to complete. good questions though, they were fairly challenging. as for using this test to improve your game i'd say you could probably look at your scores and try to figure out which questions were related to what sections of scoring, then concentrate on finding the correct move to those questions. anyway, i just thought it'd be fun to see how everyone did...
  • In my defense, I was 99.6% for speed :)
  • 111. Probably better than I expected, since I'm a NL donkey. And ya, I suck at tourneys too. Small pairs and positional play were good, tourney play was abysmal. Everything else was ho-hum.
  • Just decided to take this test and as long as it was, I finished it. However, I don't know if I want to disclose my results :-X:-X

I tied Joe with 98 so I can't complain. I was able to fill it in offline on my laptop on the Go train and then uploaded if people want to fill it in offline it should work ok. Not sure if that impacted my overall score as my speed was 0 (I uploaded it the next day). Will have to fill it in with my answers again and see if the overall score improves. Some pretty good questions and common situations.
  • I scored a 107.

Time to head off to play some 5/10NL now!!!!
  • I got a 107 as well. I guessed at the questions about what does so an so have since I suck at reading cards in just text and not in the context of an actual game.

I rock at Big Pairs with an "exceptionally higher than average" score but I suck at tournaments and blinds.

Speed wise I was super fast, just like my wife always tells me.
  • it was an interesting test. the sort of thing that could generate some good discussions...

i'm thinking i'd like to post a bunch of them here starting next week to get everyone opinions on the correct answer. anyone up for the discussion?

as for the rounders one, were they really expecting people to not say fold?
  • 114, but apparantly I suck at bluffing and defending my blinds... rigged ;)
  • i finally got a chance to do it in one sitting...

    too funny:
Your General Poker IQ Score is 132 and shows how skilled you are in general. Anyone with a score this high is considered to be a high stakes pro. This score is better than 94.52% of all persons taking this test. You have a strong technical understanding of poker and should expect to do well in medium to high stakes NL hold'em.
high stakes - ha ha ha!

they do have me pegged, though:
Your Aggression score of 60% is significantly lower than your average percentile score

here's why you shouldn't watch tv and have a conversation with your wife while you take the test:
Your Computational Speed score of 2% is significantly lower than your average percentile score. This score is better than 0.07% of all persons taking this test

i saved my answers. i'm gonna re-do the test later and see how much speed impacts the score. stay tuned.
  • 102 it takes a lot of time and a lot of the situations are no brainer all ins regardless of what that test says.
