Him and Bruno were contributing factors for me abandoning quarters outright

Just a warning about ceramics, they can possibly be a little slippery and might have "spinners" (the chips can spin and slide when stacked).

Spin and slide? Sorry how do you mean? I have read about them being slippery also on Poker Chip Forum.

I will be getting a sample pack first to make sure I like them.

Oh I get you now its like the center is up a bit and allows the chip to spin in place in the stack! I feel like all the chips have issues. Clay will just chip and get flea bites in them. the composites are the same. The ABS ones will have defects in them because they are mold injected..

Plus once you do find one, finding a design you like and one that has 25c chips lol.

I like this sets design, simple, numbers are visible and legible, they have 25c chips denom.. but is the slipperiness an issue haha.., I think grabing a sample pack and feel them to make sure they are okay.. It's really great feedback trigs!!

MrCaspan Not all ceramics are slippery. Some are "textured" and are fine, but without the texture, they can slide a bit. For example, when stacking them, they can easily fall over if not stacked precisely straight.
"Spinners" refers to when chips are stacked up and they spin or slide still. Clay chips "stack like bricks" and stay in place generally, but ceramics can slide and slip sometimes.
Good idea to get a stack and test them. It's not a big deal if you don't care about it, but some people find it annoying.

Good clay chips will not chip or flake unless you're using them constantly (like in a casino). They'll be good for a long time. Composite clays could chip eventually depending on make. Ceramics will probably crack before chipping but doesn't happen often unless you're abusing them.

Set you posted looked nice to me. Easily identifiable and get the job done.

My buddy has the same set. The faces of the chips are textured so they stack fine and I haven't seen any spinners.

The demons are extremely small to my old eyes, but most of the chip colours are unique enough as to avoid confusion. The 25c and $5 chip are closest in colour. I think the chips are laminated so the faces have worn and the colours have faded over time, which I believe is very common for ceramic chips. FYI even ceramic chips are technically composite and not made entirely out of ceramic.

I don't think you'd kill a ceramic or Chinese clay composite set with the volume of games you'd be hosting. My buddy leaves them in his unheated garage but I have yet to see a cracked chip.

      Awesome thanks @holychow

I appreciate everyone's feedback! I do think I am going to go with these ones. They seem okay with all the reviews but will wait for the trigger.
