Just as a suggestion: one thing that always helped me in hosting was to have a "game will run regardless" kind of policy... yes we had a few nights with 4, etc... but I do find it helps people commit when they know the game is running 100%. There's always the chance of the same day signups too.

I'm fine with playing short handed but others have PMed in the past saying they won't come unless I have at least 6 players so if it drops to 5 then it's probably dropping to 4 or 3. That's why I choose to cancel at 5.
