Live: WPT Fallsview $4 Million+ Prize Pool

Coles Notes: Interest list for ~$8,600 worth of WPT FPC entries.

Interest list for a BAP for ~$8,600 worth of entries during the WPT Fallsview Poker Classic on February 18-24, e.g., $1100, $2500, $5000 events, $1,050 & $550 satellites. Fallsview is my second most profitable casino.

I had three top two finishes in sold-out casino tournaments on December 8, 9 and 19. At the Fallsview tournaments, I had a hot streak of winning all the satellites I played during TWO consecutive days in December. Another hot streak has started this month as I have won all the satellites I played on February 1, 2 and 7, including another $5,000 Main Event entry!

Selling at ~1.13 MU, so
$485 - 5%
$195 - 2%
$97.50 - 1%
$49 - 0.5%
$25 - 0.25%.

I prefer to sell to people I know or have played with (or that can be vouched for by somebody like compuease). I plan to sell not more than 50% of my action (including swaps).

While buying a piece of me obviously won't get you any money from swappers, I will be swapping with winning players, with the idea that just like I helped the last WPT Fallsview millionaire champion for the entire day of the TV final table, I will have a winning team behind me. The players that I think I will be swapping with are currently at WSOP-C Tunica (to try to qualify for the WSOP National Championship), WPT Florida, or the Aussie Millions Main Event. I was able to contact a player who has four final tables in the Fallsview events, including a >$100,000 cash, and he agreed to swap 5% on whichever events we both end up playing.

I plan to use my new iPad Air Cellular to blog about the excitement of Canada's #1 poker event exclusively to my investors (subject to any casino restrictions). The priority of course is to maximize EV, but let me know what kind of things you want me to try to include in my blog besides the following to maximize the "sweat equity": event stats, number of cash game and satellite tables, prop bets, credit card roulette, end-of-day shenanigans, & incriminating photos & videos on my iPad. ;) Does anybody know of a better app than Facebook to post updates to a list of names?

I will be responsible for tips. For example, if/when I cash big in any WPT Fallsview event, I plan to tip the maximum $200 merchandise allowed to as many dealers as I can from my winning share, not from investors. Please let me know what percent you want to invest (no sending money yet).

Interest:
5% - T8urmoney
4% - hiphopopotamus
3% - PIRANHA
1% - Hobbes
1% - PocketsTwos
~1% - Colin408
0.25% - jontm
~0.25% - SteveKerr
(2% - masterplan; no-obligation interest & didn't proceed to payment)

Swaps (For whichever of the 3 events both parties end up playing. For my own tracking; obviously, a BAP investor won't get any winnings from these independent swappers):
5% - westside8
2% - SteveKerr (Events 2 & 3 if we both play)
1%
5%
3%

~28% total reserved.

  • I'll take a %. Are you 100% playing all 3 events?
  • I'm in for the 1% and may buy some more from you closer to the event.
  • Not 100%, that's why I'm not asking to send money yet. I still have three $1,050 and other satellite vouchers in my account so I want to win at least one more $5,000 and $2,500 entries.

  • Sent you a PM. I'll take at least 2%.
  • PM sent and your email responded to
  • I'll take 2%
  • In for 1 percent please...
  • we shipping yet?
  • Not yet. I want to first sell all the extra WPT Event #1 entries that I won before February 18 so that I can have a rungood made-to-order breakfast that morning instead of being distracted and having to look for last-minute procrastinators. I just sold an entry tonight at the going rate, but I'm willing to give a cash reward to anybody I know who refers me to somebody who ends up buying at around the current rate.

My biggest edge seems to be in satellites, so just like a couple of cash game specialists that I know switched from buying into the events next week to grinding the 5/10+ cash games instead, I'm wondering if I should just continue grinding the non-stop SNG and super satellites next week. For example, if I do a BAP to directly buy into seven $1,050 satellites instead of the $5K+$2.5K events, I think my EV will be higher. I won ALL the satellites that I played on February 1, 2 and 7, then I won another $5,000 Main Event entry yesterday!

So interested BAP investors will have to be flexible and know that I will try to do whatever will maximize EV/ROI next week.

  • I'll take a .25 for the sweat if it's available
  • While I understand that you may want to maximize your EV, it leaves a certain distaste for me when won satty's get blackmarketed to sell for greater than the actual entry fee (as I assume that is what you mean by 'market value').

    To each their own.

I'm willing to still purchase this, but if it's a no go, I'd prefer to know now, so I can invest elsewhere.
  • Yes, any of the following would be better than Fallsview's one-of-a-kind structures, which can go both ways. Anybody that goes to Fallsview should fill out a Comment Form to make improvements for next year and all future games.

    1) Some poker rooms force you to play the first satellite seat won, then gives you cash for any subsequent wins. This would be my #1 choice.

    2) Some rooms force you to play the first, then gives you tournament dollars for subsequent wins, e.g., PartyPoker.

    3) WSOP Rio and Venetian gives you tourney lammers that you can use to buy into any tourneys, or can usually sell at full value.

Satellite winners at Fallsview can incur the biggest losses than all the other poker rooms above, e.g., players who are unable/unwilling to go on to the next step and are sometimes forced to sell their $550, $1,050, $2,500 or $5K entries at a HUGE percentage below face value.

  • Updated OP for: flexible ~$8,500 worth of entries, separate swap with one of the best pros in the world, and INTEREST list.

If you're on the interest list but not my Facebook friend yet, please email or PM me your Facebook name and I will try to start giving real-time updates next time I'm at Fallsview. No obligation to be on the list & no need to send money until the weekend when I can finalize the details as much as I can, then I will contact you.
  • I'm a bit confused. Do we get a piece of the people you've swapped with as well or is recording that information in the thread just for your own use?

    PM'ed you with Facebook info.
  • I probably want to keep more than 50% of myself, so I'm showing all the swap and reserve percentages. You do NOT get any piece of those who choose to swap. If one has a deep run, it's good to have winning players supporting you whom you can ask for advice.

  • PM sent to everybody on the interest list for me playing ~$8,600 worth of entries during the highly +EV WPT Fallsview.
  • EMT sent
  • I have a voucher for a free made-to-order breakfast for up to five CHILDREN for tomorrow morning up to 9:30 AM, so if anybody I know happens to have their kids with them for tomorrow's WPT Fallsview Event #1, email or PM me to join me for breakfast.
  • In case any of the investors want a Niagara Falls room tonight, I have a two-room suite on the 35th floor. I'm currently at the Fallsview poker room, hoping to play one last satellite, before going back to my suite. The $550 satellite is still short of ten players since the $125 Step 1 satellites are no longer running.
  • Emt sent for 4%.
  • Going for the made-to-order breakfast soon. If any investor is already at Niagara Falls, phone/email me.

I'll accept BAP payments or confirmations until the noon start of today's event with $630,500 prize pool.
  • Bump for updates?
  • Busto. I tried to update with my iPad, but I was told electronics are not allowed near the table. :(

I'll play the +EV $275 super satellite tomorrow at 3 PM so that will be part of the BAP. Considering playing the $550 and/or $1,050 SNG satellites that are trying to be run in the Grand Ballroom.

Will email a more detailed trip report later. If I don't have your email yet, please PM to me.

Just do what I do, cause I'm always using my phone in between hands when the dealer is shuffling or counting down the cards. When they tell me to not use it, I just tell them I'm trying to cheat with my phone while the dealer is shuffling.
  • What about on breaks? The two hour time difference means that by my lunch you guys are in the thick of things and if your still in when I get off work, things are really going well
  • Here is what I recorded for the Fallsview game distribution as of 11:45 PM:
    - One 10/25
    - Nine 5/10
    - Four 2/5
    - One 5/5 PLO
    - I didn't see a single satellite run in the poker room! :o By killing the $125 and $235 satellites, there are not enough players willing to pay $1,050 or $550 CASH to play hyper turbos, including me! Fallsview thinks that there are too many $1,050 and $550 unused vouchers that needs to be used up, but the fact is that most of these vouchers have been bought up by ONE person, which has killed the satellite player pool. :-\
  • I checked into Ramada's ~$15/night deal, along with a friend who was given his own room (adjoining) for the same great deal. I am currently booked to return to the luxurious Embassy Suites on Thursday (and possibly Sunday) night with free breakfast & free wine reception, so if anybody I know wants the other bedroom in the two-room suite, let me know ASAP. Otherwise, if I'm just by myself, I might cancel the good value deal at Embassy Suites and stick with Ramada.

    What about on breaks?
I find the breaks of 15 minutes too short. By the time I finish writing my notes with the allowed non-electronic paper and pen, then lining up for the washroom, then players wanting to talk to me, I barely make it on time to avoid the TDA's first-card-off-the-deck rule.
