  • Whatever happened to those players you mentioned getting audited after false claims of having enough allowable losses to totally offset their winnings? Did they or RMS get in trouble with the IRS?
I wouldn't worry too much about the withholding tax.

Yeah a while back RMS really screwed some players with false hopes but I have dealt with a reputable person and had no issues.

Like I said realistically there never be a 1m cdn prize and the highest we get to is around 760k so it's still profitable to go and play for a bracelet even if you include the 30 percent withholding.
  • so am i the only one who is a bit skeptical about the dealer's choice event? it's interesting to say the least, but not sure how well it's going to run. is there a list of possible games to choose from, or can you literally play any game you want? wild cards allowed? etc.

i'm fine with it being an event, but i don't know if i think it should be giving out a bracelet. i mean, it definitely isn't an equal tournament in any way as each table will be playing completely different games constantly. maybe if it was a shootout it would be better.

    Haha. no.

DC has a defined list of games that can be selected, with standard rules for each.

Damn . . . I was all set to reach the final Table and, when it was my turn, bust out a round of "Kings and low in the hole" . . . oh well, bracelet dreams on hold for another year.

I thought the single table satties were pretty good at the WSOP? no 30% there
Good advice. Since I haven't been able to find the fees, blinds, payout structures & other details of the single table and Mega satellites, I've contacted the WSOP.

Aside from bnb.com & airbnb.com, where else can I look for affordable accommodations near the Rio where a second person can sleep in a separate room (Rio Suites are mostly one room)? Aside from OPT and Caesars Windsor, are there any WSOP satellite locations in Canada for the Main Event or "The Big One for One Drop"?
  • For those who are planning to go vega.
Download a app on your smart phone called local poker tournament.
It's for Vegas and Atlantis only. It tells you all tournament sche to start in next24 hr, which casino, buy in, time, starting stack and blinds,
It will save you lots time.

No need to search online, everything is on your finger tip.
