APAT Canadian Open

Hi All,

I just want to notify you that the Amateur Poker Association & Tour ("APAT") will hold the Canadian Open on PokerStars.com tomorrow at 3pm ET.  For more details on the APAT, please see our page on PokerStars.com http://www.pokerstars.com/poker/tournaments/apat/  or our own site www.apat.com.

The winner of the APAT Online Series will win an all expenses paid entry to the PokerStars.com Caribbean Adventure WPT event.

Regards,

Des.

  • Sure!! Hold this event during the Ryder Cup!!!

    FOUL! :rage:
  • Do you have to be a Canadian resident/citizen to play in the Canadian Open or is this open to all comers? Too bad the APAT doesn't have a chapter in Canada. I think we could easily fill the roster with the forum members alone. Now all we have to do is convince the Federal government to allow for tournaments outside of a casino.

Association AND tour? That reminds me of the American Dodgeball Association of America. Hahaha, "if you can dodge a wrench, you can dodge a ball".

    Hi PokerJAH

We have members in over 20 countries, so yes our events are open to all nationalities and it would be great to see a Canadian win the Open tomorrow evening.

We also run live tournaments in fully regulated Casinos and we are running the English Amateur Poker Championship next weekend.  We hope to add the Canadian Amateur Poker Championship to our live schedule  in Season Two.

    Regards,

    Des.

IT'S BETTER!!! :D A hell of alot more fun than watch a bunch of old guys whack a ball around a few acres of cut lawn all day long.

The Ryder Cup of Poker, you get to sit with a bunch of sweaty old farts try to bluff their way into the money with crap cards!! :DMUCH MORE FUN, don't you think?

Actually, Des, check out the Ryder Thread in the Home Games Section. Some teams are experiencing last minute dropouts and maybe looking for another player.

Hi...I didn't mean to post to the wrong forum.  I'm sure the Mods will move this thread if necessary.

    Thanks,

Oh I can absolutely see why it would be better..after all, this is OUR game right. In terms of playing...unfortunately I seldom get 5 or 6 hours to play these days. Too busy trying to run the APAT!

I wish you all the best of luck in the tournie though.

    Cheers,

It's been moved. I usually just go ahead and ban people whose first post is an advertisement in the wrong section (or the wrong kind of advertisement in general), but you seem nice. There's your "get out of jail free" card.
