Could you make this call?

Top 6 pay.....micro-limit 45 player tournament, top 6 pay, we are on the bubble.

I have been very aggressive by pushing my Ace-Face, Ace-Suited, and pockets on the short stacks. Also I have been avoiding the big stacking unless I have very strong hands. The short stacks have been playing very weak folding mostly to my positional pushes, but when they call I usually have a better hand then them and they've been holding up.

    Any 2.  His M is at 2, he's got 1/3 of his chips already in, and if he's at all observant, he'd also know that you're only attacking the short-stacks, so he might give you credit for a more marginal hand.  I like your raise based on your hand, and can't fault his call no matter what his cards.  However, he probably should have pushed prior to this, even with nothing UTG, to avoid being in this situation.

    True...but with one player sitting out and with less then 1500 in chips, I was surprised that he did make the call.

    After looking at the hands I don't fault him for making it but as you said he did kind of float into the dead zone, I figured he was more interested getting into the money then actually winning which is why the call surprised me most.

    I like the way you played the second 2, but I'm not sure about the 1st hand. With blinds so high, someone might have gotten stubborn and called you with middle pair, which you can't beat. I'd probably pick a different spot, but you obviously had a good read.

    Before I read anyone's post or look at the results.  I'm a small stack if I"m him.  BTW Chris I think your push was good.  I'm looking to call with any suited A any A with a 7 or better kicker. any 2 suited paint, any pair KQ KJ maybe QJ.  Now I'll probably see that he's got J 5 and hit his J. 

    EDIT He probably should have made a stand earlier but he didn't. His call was good and LOL I was right on with the J thing.
