stoopid question about rakes

How do the rakes work for these cash games at the Casino? I can't see them pausing after every hand to take a 3-5% rake or do they actually do that?

Who ever replies please use a 5/10 limit or 2/4nl as an example.

rake of 10% dollar $5 max at 5-10 Limit, they always do the rake at the end, 4 red chips($20) in the pot rake is $2, every 2 red chips rake is $1. 10 red chips ($50) take $5.

Done nice and simple.

At the cash games I have played at the CNE Casino and underground clubs, they seem to start taking the rake right after a flop and throughout the hand without waiting until the end. The tips are kept in a separate pile and deposited in a separate container.

Most places rake it has the hand progresses. Some casinos take $1 once a flop is seen then 10% every 10 to a max of 4 or 5 depending. Some dealers at some casinos will wait till the end then take the 10% out of the pot to the max.

At Fallsview, all no-limit games are sessions, not rakes.

At Niagara the 1/2 NL is raked the same as the limit, 10% up to $5., They take $2. on the flop, then a total of 10% of whatever the pot ends up at conclusion, again up to a max of $5. I believe they round down, ie if there is $48. in the pot, rake is $4.
