Seriously, why do the majority of people who follow poker seem to 'love' him?
I like him because he's a pretty good player, very open and straight-forward (what you see is what you get, like it or not), and he seems to genuinely care about making poker better, plus he's Canadian
I like him for the same reasons but...
But there are an overwhelming amount of grown men who if given the chance would like to felate him.
I see it everyday at the tables.

Yeahhhhhh...the whole getting "married" thing is working well for his image...
The info I have is a lot of well known Canadian poker players are looking forward to the 2 WPT events being held at Fallsview in October. The word is that there will be a very strong showing of "Canadiana"; a lot of red & white, a lot of Maple Leafs and a lot of pride!! Many have been in touch with Fallsview directly or indirectly (through WPT reps). Hotel bookings have begun. Other well known players have also been in contact and have confirmed their intentions to play these historic events. It would not be a bad idea to start booking rooms, dinners, etc. NOW!!
Hey 13Cards,
What's the deal with railbirds? Can we just show up the day of, to watch, or do we have to get tickets or wristbands or something?
The information I have is that railing will be available. Spectators may have access to the balcony seats in the Avalon Ballroom or there may only be aisles roped off between every 3 or 4 tables or so. These details are still be worked on. As for tickets or wristbands, I have heard of neither being necessary, nor have I been told we will be charging spectators.
I'd love to be in the audience for the FT.
We would love to have you, JohnnieH, but perferably at a (final??) table. The bleacher seating is mainly for a small number of audience members (family/friends of FT players, players previously knocked out, WPT officials, etc...).
