B&M poker accept credit cards (for chips)

just curious... i've never tried to use credit card to buy chips (obviously not at the table).. i think credit card would help me. i'm not accustomed to having $500-$1000 in cash on me. and getting it from ATM makes the losses feel really bad (even though as i'm theoretically committed to 20x$500 as my bankroll, losing $1000 in a night should be marginally o.k.), plus, not even sure if i can take more than $800 out of my ATM in 24 hours, plus i have other expenses... basically saying i'm NOT a "cash guy"

just wondering... never thought to ask. or just assumed they wouldn't take it, as per the "credit card co's been sued over gambling losses"... surprisingly, it seems like quite some gambling sites still take credit cards, and i assume the canadian banks are aware (small possibility they come under simple name and bank doesn't realize)

thanks in advance!!

This is why I don't use a credit card at the casino. I don't even bring my ATM card.

  • Credit card cash advances are available at the Cashiers' Cage for a (significant) fee at Fallsview and Casino Niagara. You will be charged on your credit card as a cash advance, so the "juice" starts running right away.

    lol, sounds like significant -ev
  • Most casinos will cash advance a credit card. Basically if your going to play poker (or any casino game) make sure you have the coin in cash. If taking $1K out of a bank machine bothers you if you lose then play for lower stakes where the loss may only be $300.
  • Plastic and Casinos do not mix.
  • WAY too expensive! :D
  • ya the juice is amazingly high on credit cards. i just always take cash. just dont make it known that you got cash on you.
  • no one is going to RoBB you in the casino. Camera's Galore! except if your in the washroom and you get robbed...no camera's there...(I don't think)

Yeah, there is NEVER any crimes committed in casinos! Spoken like a true veteran!
  • The only robbery going on in a casino is the 2.00 charge if you want a cap for your bottled water, 2.75 for a hot chocolate, and $4.75 for a milkshake oh and the dollar bet you have to pay to hit the progressive jackpots. (stud and blackjack)
