Finally decent cash game poker on TV

Apparently, they are now showing Live at The Bike on CGTV 288 under the name LA Poker Scene. Currently on 10pm-11pm.

Live at The Bike has long been the best cash-game telecast online, nice to see.

  • I heard them talking about Live at The Bike on Rouders the poker show podcast.
Sounded cool, but never got to see it.

    Looking forward to it.
  • Used to be a free internet telecast, whatever you call that...now you have to pay $15 a month or something...but you can download some 4h episodes via torrents at thepokerbay.org
  • I like Clonie Gowen, but what the heck is she doing reading a Danielle Steele novel in the middle of a cash game?  Instead of observing her opponents, she would be reading a book when she is in the hand!
  • I happened to catch it last night too. poor John Huong had a terrible night . I'm surprised his wife didn't haul him away from so much pain earlier. Clonie Gowen reading .... strange but Danielle Steele Bizzaro!
  • Thanks GTA. I enjoyed watching the free show on the interent.
  • For those of you downloaded torrents, is there a FAQ on where to get started. I know what a torrent is but I've never bothered. Is one program better than another etc? Also I imagine that I may have to open some ports on my router too.

    Thanks

    Thanks

The was an old post in the off topic section talking about torrents and rogers that you may want to look into as it had info about ports in general.
  • download bitcomet, great program

then go to thepokerbay.org and click on the shows you want to watch
  • Live @ the Bike is an awesome show. It changed the way I look at playing poker. Although the two commentators (Bart and Dave) aren't well known (ie Mike Sexton, Norman Chad etc) they know their poker. Both of these guys are professionioal poker players that have started at low limits and worked their way up to limits that you can make a living from. I hope people new to L@TB that the CGTV version is the same as the online version.

Looks like I may have to get Rogers Digital package just for this show..ahem... channel.
  • It was a version of LATB, only Bart was hosting with some clueless chick...perhaps Dave was away for this specific one
  • Man this poker is damn hillarious. There are so many fishes on that show. The announcers are some of the best announcers i've seen on any poker show though. There was one terrible guy they called "Jesus" Who called bets down to the river with AK high (somewhere around 1000$ total)

Does anyone know the blinds/antes for LA poker cause i've seen the show three times now, but have yet to learn what the blinds are.
