.25/.50 NL Thurs. sept. 7th?
Hello guys!
So I am moving into my new place tomorrow. It is near the university of waterloo. I want to host a poker game there; is any interested in a .25/.50 NLHE game on Thursday, Sept 7th? If there is popular demand for any other date, or thursday is especially bad for anyone, please post here, I am willing to accomodate if possible.
The game will (obviously) be rake free. I will have to talk to my room mate about a time frame (he is down with the poker though and seems like he's a fish easy money for all! haha (if you're reading this jason, I'm just kidding, really) (to you guys, no I'm not total fish)), but I am thinking something like 5pm-11pm ish, people can come and go at any time during that time frame. For the first game I want to stick rigidly to that time schedule, see how it works, make any changes as neccessary. As always, BYOB and BYOS.
I do take poker games I host semi-seriously. You will be expected to act in turn, not string bet, as well as follow general poker etiquette (for example, if a third spade comes out on the turn, you can't say "there's the flush!") etc. Players are expected to act promptly on their turn. It is fine to take as long as you want if you are making a difficult decision, but it is not fine to never know when it is your turn for whatever reason.
Anyway, I hope everyone can come out and make it. I will suppy further details as they are warranted, PM for more info and post in the thread if you want to come. Also, if someone could recommend a place around town to pick up some decent chips that would be awesome, I am thinking of picking up cards from the casino next time I am there.
