Ontario Poker Tournament Buy-In Limit??

I thought there was some rule that Casinos couldn't hold tournaments with a buy-in in excess of $1,000. Did the casino holding the Ultimate Poker Challenge get an exemption or have they changed the regulations? Is this a sign of things are changing in Ontario and we should see the other casinos holding bigger tournaments down the road?

    It would have had to be changed to allow for the WPT in Niagara Falls. Since that's a 10K buy in.

    I thought I read in a previous post that Fallsview had to get a special exemption to be able to hold the WPT event. I would think this exemption would be needed each year going forward. Didn't realize that the law in Ontario had been changed.
